Pool is amazing

My family had a great time; however, DO NOT Recommend this house if you have children or are elderly. The stairs are super slippery and dangerous. I fell twice. The house was freezing, and we all got sick. I was not able to control the temperature. The beds are semi-comfortable, and the blankets they provide are super thin and cheap. The kitchen stove was not working correctly. The house is so close to the beach. It was our first time visiting South Padre, and it was beautiful. I hope my review helps people out of state.

More Than We Could of Hoped For

My mothers side of the family decide for the first time to take an out of state family vacation. It was literally steps away from the beach and shopping. Part of the family rented golf carts and drove approved parts of the islands without complaint. My mother and husband had such a great time they are headed back soon. My husband and I are runners. We ran the beach and the town, both were exceptional. We were in close proximity to the grocery store. Because it’s the island I suggest you stop before you drive across the bridge but still super convenient. Of course the negative - At 3:00 pm in the middle of summer the pool was pretty warm, but excellent for early morning and late night swims. We did have one repair mishap, but the property was attentive and accommodating. Which was beyond my expectation. I’d be happy to explain it to you! But I feel you’ll be happy without reaching out in the event you experience a problem.

Spacious, beautiful, very close to beach

Overall experience was fantastic. With a few details to consider. We couldn't check in at 4pm due to maintance taking care of master bathroom sink issue. We didnt get to check in until 5pm. That was very fustrating. We didnt like the bunk bed room on the first floor while the rest of the rooms were on the second and third floor. So if you plan to put your kids in this room ,no that it is located as soon as you walk in to the left by the front door. Actually anyone can sleep in that room but if you plan to have kids in that room, I believe this to be helpful since all the other rooms will be on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The TV in the bunkbed room could have been located on a different wall. My kids couldnt watch TV. The other thing i didnt like were the stairs. The tile stairs were slippery when wet and hard to recognize each step because it is the same flooring as the rest main floor. The second floor has wood floors. There is no ice maker in the refrigerator, make sure you bring ice bags in the freezer. On the second floor, 1st bedroom on the right, the TV didnt work. Heated pool was nice. Presentation was beautiful. You could see the ocean from the master bathroom window. This house had a fully loaded kitchen-dishes, pots, pans ,coffee cups, regular cups,bowels kitchen utensils etc. The master bedroom was immaculate. Love the space of the house. Outside of the house not being ready on time the house was a pleasant surprise.

Vacation

There were a few issues the ceiling fan in the 3 floor bedroom didn't work, the oven didnt work, the bed on the 2nd floor was leaning to one side couldn't sleep the day's that we were there and the propane in the bbq pit ran out of fuel in the middle on my cookout. The rest of the place had no more issues and the pool was great.

Excellent Property

This was an excellent property to stay for our family of eight adults and three children two and under. Love being so close to the beach. They do have a medium sized crock pot that isn't on the list which is nice. There is no pot holders which would be nice to have. Only two kitchen towels which we washed often. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. I was impressed with the amount of start up items available like toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. Would stay here again. Even with the colder weather the pool was comfortable. Good experience working with SPI Rentals who was in charge of the management of the property. We couldn't get the ice maker to work however didn't call maintenance. Maintenance may want to check on this.

SPI family vacation

Home provided all the accommodations our families were looking for in a vacation home. I would suggest strongly that the property manager relays to the owner to provide sun sails over the pool. Pool was over heating from the sun. Another recommendation would be to reset and seal pool tiles. Other than the pool the home itself was amazing đŸ€©

Beach get away!

There were alot of great things about this property. Great access to the beach, pool was very warm ( a little to warm one day 99 degrees), ac worked, beds were pretty comfortable. Cons, we had to do a little of our own cleaning, the stairs into the pool need to be fixed, very sharp on the feet, the dinning room chairs need some felt on the bottom, very loud when moving. They need to have some essential in the kitchen, albumin foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags, plastic bags. When you are coming from another state, you cannot bring these things and its ridiculous to have to buy these things. Over all we had a great time and the little things didn't dampen our fun! SPI were great, when we had pool issues they were right on it, when we had flight issues they were very helpful with our late check-in. I will definitely use SPI again. Thanks The Utah Beach goers!

South Padre get away!

Cute place
 great location! Easy walk to restaurant and shops. 3 minute walk to nice beach. Loved having a pool that was very clean! Master bedroom on 3rd floor was very roomy and nice. 3 other queen and king beds were good. Plenty of bathrooms. Only thing was bunk bed room was smaller than than it looked, but still adequate. Management company was very responsive for a few minor things that popped up.

Good location, easy access to beach

I got to the place 2 hours early, they said property was not ready. I went to get groceries and came to the property about 15 mins earlier than the check in time. I called to see if I can get in since I had groceries and things that can melt, they still did not let me in, stating property was not ready, yet I am standing right in front and there was no cleaning crew or anything delaying my entry. Place was not very clean. There’s a difference between picking things up and actually cleaning. Place was not thoroughly clean, patios and balconies full of dust and leaves. Floors still felt sandy. There was an AC leak but it was addressed immediately. Fence on the side of the house was old and broken. Faucet in kitchen had no water pressure. Very small flow which made dishes hard to wash. Place could get a little more updated by fixing things up. Place was okay overall but will not stay there again.

Central location, very close to walk on beach

Nice property. Close to shopping, eating, and walk on beach. Wasn’t as suitable for my disabled son or the elderly couple who joined us. A lot of stairs involved, low ceilings in spots. Was sufficiently stocked in the kitchen. Could’ve had more towels.

Property management is terrible! Didn't respond to questions or requests at all!

Contacted management multiple times for issues and never got a response by their app or a return phone call. Happened multiple times from time of booking until check out. For this reason we will not stay at this house again unless it is under new management. Bathtub is amazing but was dirty. Dirty towel laying in backyard at check in. Need endless hot water to fully enjoy tub. Shower smelled like urine. Urine on one tolite seat at check in. Ants in backyard are BAD! Couldn't sit outside due to this. Pool was bathwater temp. Only provided one bath towel and one wash rag to each bathroom. Less than a hotel provides. Pots and pans falling apart, Dont get me started on the fridge. We did love the layout of the house. and would consider staying here again despite the issues if not for management. That is a deal breaker out of all of the issues.

Wonderful and beautiful place but dishwasher? Was not closing well, shelves in fridge were broken and on top of fridge. Location is fantastic and overall the rooms were very net as a pin.

Totally top notch! Just wondering how far in advance I need to book for next summer. I realize now we are in a crisis, but hopefully it will pass! We had a fantastic time and it was an amazing place for our family!

Great house for family group

We took our 3 grown daughters and family for a long weekend. The house was great! Everyone had a good time and the pool was wonderful for the kids and adults. The few problems we had were quickly addressed by staff. One of my grandkids said it was the best vacation ever!
