Merely steps to the beach, Oceanview Townhouse No. 3, also known as Sandy Shores, is a 3 Bedroom/3.5 Bath townhouse located on South Padre Island, Texas.
This newly refurbished condominium will welcome you to beach relaxation with updated coastal furnishings and decor, along with saltillo tile and granite countertops throughout.

The first floor Includes a guest room complete with twin over full bunks and a full bath.
TV in master

The second floor showcases a high wall of floor to ceiling windows and doors, providing natural light for the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare and serve family or group meals, with a large dining table and countertop seating. Guests can enjoy fantastic ocean views when stepping out on the balcony off of the living room, that also features a flat screen TV and plenty of room for guests to lounge in comfort. The Second floor also entails a full bath with a walk in shower.

The third floor floor features two spacious suites furnished with pillow top king sized beds, bathrooms and ample closets. There is a flat screen TV in the master bedroom.
The Third floor bathroom area consists of two bathrooms with shared tub shower (jack and Jill)

Guests are welcome to use the downstairs garage to park an extra vehicle or store beach gear and toys.

We enjoyed our stay. Access to the beach was great! Parking was sometimes an issue due to others taking the condo parking. Also the stairs in the condo can be hazardous especially on the bottom step. Overall, the stay was great and the condo met our needs!

Steps to ocean

I’m his property was perfect for our family. We stayed here with my best friend and her husband and kids. It was perfect that the kids were on the bottom floor and we were on the 3rd floor to eliminate noise. The kitchen had more cookware and gadgets than I have ever ran into so that was nice. The walk to the beach was so fast which made preparing lunches very easy. The only downside was the neighbor. If she talks to you just Ignore her. She did spray my family down with her water hose from her balcony because there was too much sand in her driveway.

Disappointing

It being our first time at SPI we were excited. Once we were able to check in the disappointment started. The garage clicker didn't work! It smelled so bad like old wet dog. The stairs were so dangerous for my 2 year old boys. The windows were dirty blinds were dirty and nasty. The management or office people were just RUDE!!! The only nice thing was the it was close to the beach!

Easy Beach Access, Great for Family!

We booked this spot for a quick weekend trip to the beach, and it was just what we needed for our big family. The house was clean and stocked with a lot of kitchen necessities for cooking and dining. We have a little one, and were surprised that there was a pack n’ play and booster high chair. There are box fans and oscillating fans provided as well. There is a very steep curved staircase that meant we had to keep a close eye on our youngest, but there is a baby gate provided in an upstairs closet if needed. There is plenty of space to spread out and lots of beds for sleeping. The bunk room was on the ground level, and the other two bedrooms are on the third level. We didn’t love being so far from the kids’ room, but they did fine. My in-laws complained that their bed in the loft was too firm, but my spouse and I thought the beds were comfortable. The beach was a few steps from our door, so we spent most of our trip barefoot. We were so close to the beach, we were able to walk home and eat our meals at the rental, so our food wasn’t sandy! It was easy for going back and forth with kids especially. In the mornings I enjoyed stepping out to run a few miles on the beach, and coming back to sip coffee and watch the sunrise with my toes in the sand! There are a lot of beach and sand toys in the garage, as well as a hose for rinsing off sand before stepping inside. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend this spot! We were sad to leave and think we’ll extend our stay next time!

LOCATION AND RESTAURANTS

There isn't really anything that I can say. It rained the whole week we were there accept for Saturday. Rip Tides were in. Location is great and some of the restaurants that were open were very accommodating. Nice stay overall

Nice, spacious rental with a few unexpected nitpicks

Overall we loved staying here. It is very close to the beach, plenty of spacious rooms and a large open common area / living room. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans and a washer/drier is available and works well. The negatives were minor but present: at least one bed had something grainy in it (probably/hopefully sand, which is admittedly hard to keep out), and there was very minimal supplies offered - two dishwasher pods, one trash bag, and no dish soap. There was no dustpan that we could find but the rental company supplied that promptly when called. There was no food whatsoever (even salt) but that may be a neutral or positive in the midst of COVID-19. I would recommend this property but do read the informational emails closely and bring supplies accordingly.
