2-min Walk to Beach, Private House with Heated Pool

The Opal Wave is wonderful 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom single-family home with a private pool that is heated during winter months (Nov - Feb). It has two stories, a two-car garage, and plenty of space to accommodate up to 13 guests comfortably. When you're ready to be in the sun and by the waves, the public beach access is just a 2-minutes walk from the front door! Its central location puts you and your guests within walking distance to shops, entertainment venues, restaurants and much more, making it perfect for a family getaway, or a weekend retreat with friends!

2,363 Sq Ft. One bedroom down, two bedrooms up, all with ensuite full bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen with reverse osmosis drinking wate. Private Pool that is heated during winter months (Nov - Feb). Fully fenced backyard. 2-car garage for guests to use.

Our nightly price depends on the number of guests, children included. Additional guest fee applies for guest #7 and above till the maximum occupancy. Please indicate your exact number of guests at booking and the quote will reflect that. If you increase the number of guests after your reservation is made, additional guest fee may apply.

We allow only house-trained pets with a $100 pet fee per pet each stay. Additional pet fee may apply if you bring more pets than indicated at booking. Maximum four pets allowed on premises. Clean after your pets or additional cleaning fee will be charged.

The swimming pool is heated during winter months (Nov – March), and the water temperature setting is set at 84°F. The actual swimming pool water temperature may be or may not be at 84 deg since this largely depends on the air temperature and wind factors which are not within our control. If there is a big drop in air temperature, the water temperature will drop also even though our motor is still set to run at 84 deg. Owner or Agent cannot be held accountable for the water temperature of the pool. Owner guarantees that the pool heater is set at 84 degrees for the pool. If on the rare occasion that the air temperature drops below 50 degrees, our pool heater will shut off due to the strain on the motor to keep it from burning out. There is not anything anyone can do to override this safety feature.

The first floor features a spacious kitchen, dining, living area, a half bath, and master bedroom with ensuite full bathroom. The Master suite has a King size bed, a single bed in the large closet room, smart TV, a private Master bathroom with double vanity, large soaking tub and stand alone shower. There is also a single bed under the staircase on the first floor. The first floor sleeps up to 4 comfortably.

Two additional bedrooms are located on the second floor, both with own ensuite private full bathroom. Each room is equipped with a queen size bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. There is a rollaway bed in the closet that can be taken to either bedroom for additional sleeping. The second floor sleeps up to 9.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything from forks to coffee makers, allowing you & your guests to prepare meals at ease. Reverse osmosis drinking water in the kitchen. The living room gives access to the private back yard & sparkling swimming pool.

Four Smart TVs in the house (every bedroom has its own TV) with Netflix. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutting boards, non-stick pans of different sizes, bakeware, cooking utensils, plenty of plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. One traditional coffee maker and one Keurig machine. Coffee filter provided.

The property has a washer and dryer in the garage for guest use. There are beach chairs, wagon, canopy, and beach toys for guest use.

The house can park 6 compact cars or 4 SUVs at a maximum. No on-street parking.

House has exterior cameras for security monitoring. No cameras inside the house or in the backyard pool area.

Early check in or late check out is subject to a fee (exact amount depending on your requested check in and check out time) and it is only possible when the house is not booked the same day.

From the start Peggy was so helpful and was always prompt to answer my questions. The house was perfect for our family. Clean and accommodated 7 of us and our 2 dogs. We all had our own space plus private bathrooms. The location of the house was amazing and we could walk to almost anything from food to shopping. The house is also equipped with everything we needed from shampoo, to soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, beach chairs, tents, wagons and more. The location to the beach was a quick and easy walk. The pool was warm and we found it perfect to swim at night. Over all we loved the house and would stay there again!

Good vacation stay

Great communication with host, great location, easy check in and check out. We stayed for a couple of days and we were a block to the beach, which was wonderful. Centralized location so we were close to everything we wanted to visit. House is clean, we ate out so did not use much of the utensils, plates and stove. Great overall, would come again.

Family Beach trip

Peggy was an awesome host!!! The house was well stocked wonderfully with all the trash bags, toilet paper and soaps of kinds! Loved the garage full of all essentials. Thank you for providing a great house. Beds were very comfortable. As a suggestion a new couch would be the perfect touch. Bigger and better pots, pans and bowls would help also. Great house with private pool, 2 minute walk to the beach

At the last minute on a Saturday we decided to see if we could find a South Padre rental that a) had a private pool, b) allowed three not-small dogs, and c) was on or very close to the beach. This property fit the bill very nicely! The pool isn't large but it was very nice, and so refreshing after the beach. There's also an outdoor shower/rinse station to get de-sandy before jumping it the pool. The beach is like a block away, an easy walk. We had great weather and surf for boogie-boarding. We brought our three dogs and the loved it as well. There was lots of room, nice kitchen with good tools and eating ware. Good internet and TVs as well. Right next door is a great taqueria, with another just across the street, both delicious. One store fiwn is a GREAT surf/beach shop that we were in every day. Overall we loved our trip, and the host was very communicative and helpful!

This property was nice and conveniently close to the beach but the property management could put a little bit more TLC into the place and the amenities to make it a little bit more comfortable for guests. A little maintenance on ceiling, fans and door knobs, etc. is needed. And simple things like having cooking oil, salt and paper towels and nicer 2 ply toilet paper, and board games for guests would be nice. Also silverware that doesn’t bend or fall apart and knives that are broken would all make the stay a little bit nicer. Basically it felt like they stocked the house with as little as they could and as cheap of items as they could get away with. Shade options at the pool would be nice too
