This charming South Haven retreat is the perfect spot to relax and create memories with family and friends. Whether you're enjoying a glass of wine from one of Michigan's local wineries on the upper deck, unwinding by the fire pit (firewood provided), or exploring the vibrant area, this getaway offers something for everyone. Downtown South Haven is just a short stroll away, offering delicious restaurants, charming shops, and two stunning beaches: North Beach and South Beach. For those wanting a leisurely walk, South Beach is just one mile away—plus, we provide a wagon to help transport your beach gear! Hiking and biking trails are also nearby for those looking to explore further.
Inside the Home
This inviting 2-story home has been recently remodeled and sleeps 8 guests. Enjoy brand-new furniture, appliances, and thoughtful touches like a coffee bar with a Keurig for your morning brew. The game “corner” is sure to delight with an assortment of board and card games for all ages. Upstairs, the loft features an Xbox 360 with nearly 100 video games, perfect for downtime entertainment.
Need to work while away? No problem! The second bedroom has a dedicated workspace, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house to keep you connected.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was so modern and had everything we needed to be comfortable. One thing you might want to consider is putting up a mirror in the upstairs bedrooms. It’s always helpful when going on girls trips to be able to put on makeup and do our hair. Something we struggled with was the lack of water pressure in the upstairs bathroom.

Modern and convenient cottage

This house has been beautifully remodeled to accommodate modern use, with a large kitchen and entertaining area, a large bath on the main floors, large bedrooms and a loft area for the kids. Check in was very easy, communication was very thorough and prompt, and the check out was one of the easiest we’ve had in our 8 years of traveling the SW coast of Michigan.

We really enjoyed our stay. Only problem was that on the 2nd night, at 4:00am the upstairs smoke alarm went off suddenly for no reason. One of our group hurried down the spiral stairs and fell. She was mostly ok. Other than that, this house is great place. Very clean and comfortable

Beautiful and comfortable home

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and spacious. We were very comfortable. We liked the fire pit and the large, open kitchen. The upstairs has a great area for the kids to play in. The house is on a busy road and you can hear traffic if it is quiet in the house, but it did not bother us much. We brought our bikes and were easily able to cross the busier road that the house is on. This connected us directly to safe neighborhood streets that took us to two parks that the kids loved (Elkenburg Park and Kid’s Corner). And we were able to directly access the beach from the blue stairs. The downtown was also accessible and only about 1-3 miles of riding. We also rode our bikes to the Kal Haven trailhead in about 2 miles. We would definitely recommend this home, especially for anyone looking to ride bikes and have a great space for family.

Time away

We had some issues early on with the plumbing but it was addressed right away. The age group of our party was over 64 so it was more difficult getting up and down the stairs to the bedrooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Sibling /Friend Getaway

We were three couples just getting together to relax and catch up. The house was well equipped, very nicely furnished, and very clean. It accommodated us well and we were completely satisfied. I gave a 4 for accuracy of listing and location just to give a heads up that the house is on a busy street, on the other side of the street from the water and beach. Also that you need to bring your own beach towels and beach chairs.

The Best Girls Trip

We had such a great time at our home away from home!! We did need some help during our stay and had a quick response, maintenance came over and boom sink fixed! Definitely recommend this location for an adult getaway!!!

The overall stay was great; the house is fully equipped right down to the fire wood, and olive oil. The towels could be on the better side, and the location is several blocks from the beach but convenient for the stores.

Beautiful, spacious home away from home.

Beautifully renovated home. Close to everything. Including the wedding venue at Black River Barn. We had a great time. Clean, comfortable, and lots of space. Beautiful back yard with porch and fire pit for axrelaxing evening outside.

The location is on a busy street but the traffic does die down at night. The house is adorable inside. Nice and clean. A bit short on bath towels. Bring your own beach towels. There is no drip coffee maker as mentioned on-line. Nice that you don't have to book an entire week. Not everyone gets that luxury for vacation time. Fire pit out back is really nice and they supplied firewood.
