Welcome to Lakeside BlueHaven, a quiet, comfortable home just a short walk or drive from the shores of Lake Michigan. Whether you’re looking to swim, kayak, or just sit by the water and take it all in, this is a great spot to unwind.

The backyard is a great place to hang out—pull up a chair around the fire pit, enjoy a good conversation, or just look up at the stars. Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, from modern touches to cozy spaces that feel like home.

You’ll be close to both South Haven and Saugatuck—great little towns known for their charm, art, and local flavor. Spend the day visiting nearby wineries, apple orchards, or take a walk on one of the local trails.

We were in the area for an extended family visit. Pretty much used the house as a crash pad at night. It had everything we needed, and we loved that sunset point was within an easy walk. House was well stocked with basics and offered plenty of room for everyone. Communication with the host was excellent. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night and had to contact him. He responded immediately which was really appreciated. He also provided advanced recommendations of things to do and good restaurants in the area. It made us wish we could stay longer.

Overall the stay was great. The pictures on the vrbo page probably need to be updated. My daughter was really looking forward to hanging outside on the hammock and tree swing. Neither of those were there. The picture of the gated community makes you think you're staying in that community, but it was across the street. Also, there was no dishwasher. I just assumed there would be one.

Perfect for families. My kids loved the swing. It's an easy 10 minute drive into South Haven while also being close to Holland and Saugutauk. There’s also a wonderful Dutch Farmers Market nearby with a playground, ice cream, and baked goods.The private beach is nice but a little rocky. It's perfect for walks, rock collecting, and keepinga close eye on your kids while they play in the water. The lower level can be a little chilly if you are sensitive to temperature changes but there are plenty of blankets and the fireplace was nice. There were also plenty of things for our kids to do at the house. It was stocked with what we needed. The grill could use a deep clean, but otherwise, it was perfect for our family. For reference, family of 4, kids ages 9 & 5.We don't currently have a dog but the space was perfect for families traveling with one.

We had a wonderful stay in South Haven! The house was perfect for our family with plenty of space and rooms for us. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is always a plus! Everything was clean and taken care of. The firepit and table in the back were great to sit around. The larger room upstairs does get a bit warm so bring a fan!The beach is a 2 mile walk across the street but only a 2 minute drive. The beach is a bit rocky but is very secluded and lots of space to play. The kids loved looking for rocks and swimming in the lake. The town of South Haven is about 10-12 min drive away. We would definitely recommend this home!

Enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a great thanksgiving weekend staying at the BlueHaven. The host was very accommodating and quickly responded with all our correspondence. The house floor plan allowed for 2 separate gathering areas which were ideal for the those who wanted to watch Christmas movies and those who were engrossed in the football games. The walk to the beach was a nice way to walk off the turkey, fixins’ and pumpkin pie. The house was as described, clean, and comfortable.I have added it to my list of possible future stays and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing get away no matter the time of the year.

Nice vacation

Property was as described and very comfortable for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is well set up to allow people to be together and also to have space for separate activities . Ray was very responsive to a plumbing issue that arose. Thanks for a great little vacation.

Wonderful experience

My family was able to get away for a few days. All my family members expressed how they really enjoyed it. The house was clean, cimfortable and close enough to several attractions and towns that allowed us to experience many things. The private beach was beautiful.

Awesome Location

Me and my girls absolutely loved our stay, the place was clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The location is secluded but there is a house directly next to you. The private beach was absolutely beautiful. No need to go anywhere else. I would definitely load up the car and drive because there is a very large hill you have to go down. We will definitely be back.

Most pleasant stay, happy memories for all

The property was just as described. It was well equipped with all necessities as well as being very clean. We had fun with the ping pong table and the 3 Smart Tvs were a big plus. The bi-level structure was ideal for our multi-generational family. The kitchen was well stacked with dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. We made good use of the barbecue grill. The kids had fun playing in the huge backyard and riding their bicycles in front of the house. We recommend the Glen Store for sandwiches or pizza. Being located between South Haven and Saugatuck gave us additional shopping and beach options. Based on our experience, we would love to return next year.

Great space and close to where we needed to be!

We recently stayed at Ray’s property for a family reunion nearby in Glenn and had a wonderful experience. Communication with Ray was prompt and easy, and he was very accommodating to any questions/needs we had. The property itself is very well kept, and although we didn’t have a chance to use a lot of amenities that are offered, there is plenty to do at the house. There is a bonfire pit in the backyard and nice patio/bbq as well. Each bedroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. With 2 separate living spaces (one in the basement and one on the main floor) it was enough room for both my husband and I and my parents to stay together but not be on top of each other. We didn’t cook much at the house but when we did, everything from utensils to bakeware was found in the fully stocked kitchen. The house is at the end of the street in a quiet neighborhood and you have access to a beach across the street. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and are definitely considering staying again for our annual reunion next year!
