One of a kind log home just south of Wiarton "Gateway to the beautiful Bruce Peninsula" and nestled amongst a hardwood bush in Bruce County farmland. There are several 100t year old maple trees along the roadway of this 2 acre property. It has a shared driveway with lots of space for parking.
The interior of this home has an eclectic style that screams country charm. The moment you step in the front door you feel at home. The front porch is a perfect spot to put your feet up relax and enjoy the sweet smell of fresh cut grass or sip your morning coffee as you watch the sun rise. A great space to wait out a storm and rain or shine the BBQ is under cover. The huge front yard has lots of room for a family soccer game, badminton or corn hole. We have you covered on those rainy days too with a good variety of family board games.
This 3 story open concept 4 plus bedroom home has a two bedroom basement apartment with a second kitchen and living area which is ideal for two families or if you have teenagers or grandparents that may want their own space from time to time. There are french doors that lead to the patio in the backyard which is shaded until the latter part of the day. The fire pit area is very private and a great place to star gaze on those clear nights. We provide one bag of wood per booking. Stretch out on the hammock and listen to the songs of our neighbourhood feathered friends or curl up with a good book in a cozy Muskoka chair.
Located 15 min. from Sauble Beach, 5 min. from the Town of Wiarton, approx. 30 min. to the Town of Lion's Head, Southampton, Port Elgin and the City of Owen Sound. Its 1 hour to the Grotto and Tobermory / ferry to Manitoulin Island. Lots to keep busy, hike the Bruce Trail, bike, canoe, kayak, fish or shop. Groceries are close by as well as a market just north of Wiarton with fresh produce and baking. Take a drive north up the Bruce Peninsula and enjoy the scenic views of the limestone cliffs along the Georgian Bay shoreline or bury your toes in the warm white sands of Lake Huron as you watch the most spectacular sunset at Sauble Beach.
This log home is truly a haven, a perfect place for families to vacation, to get away, relax and recharge with the peaceful and tranquil surroundings Mother Nature brings us here in rural Ontario, Canada.
Guests are responsible for any damage to this property during their stay. Please note there are two sets of stairs if you have a toddler you are responsible for their safety. Please bring your own beach towels. There is also a small kids play/bed room on the 3rd floor with 2 single beds for children available w an additional charge.
