Walk to Sorrento’s iconic Piazza Tasso from this recently renovated attractive modern villa. The villa is set in peaceful leafy surroundings away from the heart of the city yet conveniently close to shops, transport networks and many of the city’s leading highlights.

Set in a 1500m² plot, the villa looks out across a pleasant enclosed garden, dotted with citrus trees and mature planting, providing a welcome play space for children. A separate paved section of the garden, set under a pergola and the shade of bamboos and palm trees, is furnished with a round table and chairs and lounge seating. The villa has an additional terrace, with small tables and chairs, accessed directly from the living room.

Villa Alice extends over 140m², with four ensuite bedrooms and space for up to 10 people. Throughout the newly renovated villa, the décor is simple but contemporary, with vivid splashes of colour set against sparkling white walls and flooring. A large and very bright open plan living space dominates the ground floor with, at one end, a huge picture window with wonderful views of the garden. The room has two separate dining and lounge areas so there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax.
At one end, there’s a comfortable rattan seating area and a table for seven with bar stools; at the other, a compact but fully equipped kitchen, with fridge freezer, oven and hob, with a second dining table, a television and comfy sofa.

There are four bedrooms and bathrooms, set across 2 floors. All the bedrooms are roomy, with storage space, large windows and doors that allow in masses of light, and super modern ensuite bathrooms.

• While public transport is the obvious choice if you’re visiting Pompeii or some of the towns on the Amalfi Coast, exploring the countryside and more remote beaches at the tip of the Sorrento peninsula is best done by car.
