Started off rough, but overall very good.

The buildings are not marked very good from the parking lot view. The elevator was broken in our building, which was an inconvenience . And when we did get into the condo, the smell was awful. Called the property manager and they offered air fresheners. I believe it could have been the cleaning products they used, because after a few hours it did go away. But it was very unwelcoming at first. Then the door wouldn’t lock. But they sent someone to fix it. After all that, the condo was very nice except the living room furniture was dirty, so we threw sheets over it. The kitchen was very well stocked. And the views were amazing. The beach and pool were awesome. After that first day We really enjoyed our stay.

Much needed vacation time

This place was exactly as stated and just what we needed. Nothing better than being just a short walk over the dunes from the beach. We love this area of N. Topsail and usually stay next door, but this spot was open and we loved it.

Enjoyable Vacation

The Villa was very clean when we arrived and we made every attempt to leave it that way when we checked out. The staff worked with us when we had to change our reservation at the last minute. Very nice Condo with plenty of room. Loved the beach access!

Family fun

We had so much fun at Shipwatch! The pool is absolutely perfect for toddlers with a large 2 feet and 3 feet area. The beach was great, lots of shells to dig through which my toddler loved! The condo is very spacious, a lot more so than I expected!

I was very pleasantly surprised. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The area was quiet, peaceful and safe. The neighbors were helpful and friendly. I was surprised at how big the condo actually is on the inside. The absolute best part of the whole stay was the view from the balcony. I think we pretty much stayed out on the balcony majority of our trip because it was just so relaxing and so nice. The view was just spectacular. The rental company kept in constant contact with me regarding the trip throughout the entire process. I will definitely be staying again. And I would recommend this place to anyone. My family and I enjoyed it immensely.

My review

We were not very pleased with our condo. When we arrived the air conditioning wasnt working. There was food left in the fridge. Clothing left in the dryer. The fridge was leaking. And a few other little issues. Just wanting to be honest.

Perfect Condo

Located 3rd from front and positioned conveniently between the staircase and elevator, this condo was perfectly situated for our stay with kids. We kept the sliders open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze and didn’t even need the AC. The ocean is so close you can taste the salty mist from the waves. We loved the large deck and the rooms were spacious (especially the Living Room that blended into the Dining area). The realty service was very pleasant to communicate with especially when I asked for a little extra time in leaving.

Pretty nice

Great place for a family vacay, BUT the beds were not great, quite soft and very cheap mattresses, you fell to center of the bed, very uncomfortable, that’s why only 4 stars, if they put in better quality mattresses it would be a 10 star rental. Otherwise, although the furniture is dated, the place was clean and the kitchen had every single thing you could possibly need and the view was spectacular. In spite of the back aches we had a wonderful time.

Kind of a disappointment

Probably will not stay there again. Upstairs owner/occupant had a large dog that was constantly running from one end of the unit to the other making a lot of noise. A/C was subpar. Check in at the property management office (at a different location) was a hassle.

Family Vacation

We have used VRBO many times over the last few years. We were disappointed to find out this rental uses a third party rental company. This means stopping to get keys and dropping off. This is inconvenient and increases unnecessary exposure in the Covid world. We found the condo to be just as beautiful as pictured. Unfortunately the front door was standing wide open upon arrival leaving us to question the security of the place. We found dried popsicle sticks caked to the carpet in the bedrooms. We love the Topsail area and will return. But we will not return to this rental/rental company.

Highly recommend

Property was beautiful, clean, very well kept and quite for a relaxing week. Able to leave beach chairs etc out by the doorway with no worries. Condo kitchen had everything that was needed, ocean was beautiful from the views from the deck to the clean clear water. Will definitely come again. And the elevator close by was a huge plus.

Nice clean condo

The condo was very clean and nice and close to the beach. The beach is small with high tide taking up nearly the entire beach each afternoon. There is nothing near by - no shopping, no restaurants, no grocery stores. That made it tough on the teenagers in our group - we had to get in the car and drive 12 miles for ice cream. I had minimal interaction with South Shore Realty, the property manager, but when I did call to ask a question - they were flat out rude, I would not work with them again, just not what I need when on vacation. Overall the condo was nice and comfortable, but we didn’t love the area - I don’t like crowds, but this was way too far from everything.

Peaceful and Lovely

Never have I stayed at a place with such a huge deck! We spent most of our time out there. Absolutely loved the place. The beach was quiet, not rowdy like some places. We will be back!

Wonderful

Condo was clean, well decorated and stocked. The view was nice but just so you know, you can’t see the sunrise from the balcony. Located conveniently to the elevator. The AC wasn’t the best but luckily it wasn’t terribly hot out and we instead just let the ocean breeze come in. Overall great experience and would definitely go again!

A very relaxing place to stay

The view of the ocean is great from the living room and balcony! The access to the beach was a nice short walk from the third floor. Ample parking. A little bit confusing upon arrival as to which building to go to since signs are not easy to see. The only downfall is the construction work in the unit above had started at 8 in the morning and you heard everything from the walking of the workers to the dropping of hammers and other things onto their floor and over my bedroom! I would definitely stay there again!

New favorite home away from home

This condo was perfect...decorated so cute and beachy, kitchen fully stocked, love that you can see the ocean right from bed and that the front bedroom opens up to the patio. Easy access to elevator and beach. I will be back!

Low key beach escape

Easy rental and check in process and lots of communication from managers. The condo had a lot of dishes, pots, cooking tools, etc. Brought way more than was needed. Too avoid penalties, be ready to clean, dry, and put away all of the dishes, take all of the trashes out, and put the thermostat on 75. It was simple, low key, clean. Easy access to the beach and beautiful view from the deck.

Condo was in a great location great easy access to the beach.

Great location and condo was fully furnished. My only comment was check in/ checkout was having to stop and leave keys. The realtor had some pamphlets of suggested tour spots not to miss. We did several and we’re very pleased. Thank you. Kasson Family

Had to Get Away

We had a great time at Ship Watch. The beach here is small and pretty private. Even at peak times there was plenty of room to set up your beach chair or blanket and soak up the sun. This place is miles away from jobs, worries, and every day life. We loved sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and just letting the breeze blow our cares away.
