Balsam Haus :: 2 BR Finland, MN

Summary:
Have fun with the whole family at this newly remodeled haus in the heart of Finland Forest, 3 miles from Hwy 61, and 5 minutes from Tettegouche State Park. Enjoy your days with all the things to do on the North Shore—hiking, kayaking, boating, fishing, golfing, ATV, skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing all while exploring the Lake Superior area. Come home after a long day, cook a meal with a fully equipped kitchen, and snuggle up on the couch, play board games, or relax by the bonfire.

The Space:
This haus has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with tub and shower. Both bedrooms have a queen size bed. One room is considered the primary bedroom, the other room is the secondary which is a bit smaller. Each bedroom has small closet. The beds are custom made and are tall enough for suitcase or duffel bag storage. The living room has a full size couch and two chairs.

The TV is has Roku. You can login to your own streaming accounts- Netflix, HBO, Disney + or Hulu and more! We have added a DVD/Bluray disk player with a variety of kids and adult movies and is connected to the HDMI. The tv also has a chrome cast.

The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer and is stocked with dishes, utensils and cooking supplies. There are a lot of windows to enjoy the forest-like surroundings. The small deck outside facing Hwy 1 has two chairs.

The backyard has a fire pit with chairs and wood is provided.

Note: No Pets/ No Smoking / No Laundry

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole haus. There are two other building on property that are currently used as storage but we are working on them, so most of the time you will be the only one on grounds.

The Neighborhood:
Finland is a small town nestled in Finland State Park. Close to access to the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) and Tettegouche State Park.

Getting Around:
The best way to get around the area is by car. Ample parking is available on site.

Biking, hiking, snowmobiling, ATV areas are nearby.

This is forested rural northern Minnesota
There are bugs and mosquitos - We strive to clean bugs, spiders and webs etc. but some come in all summer.
There is no dishwasher or laundry
