Timber Ridge Lodge with a view

Beautiful and serene, our timber frame house sits high on a wooded ridge with scenic views of the river valley below. We have a fireplace, in-ground pool, and a theater room with 10 foot wide screen. This is the perfect, relaxing retreat only 2 1/2 miles from town and restaurants, but feels secluded, like you're miles away from anything.

The space
Since this is my home, I have all of the comforts of home and amenities you could ever need. I want your stay to be not only comfortable, but memorable.
My space is ideally suited for families, couples and individuals who don't mind some interaction with the host.

I do often try to accommodate special requests for privacy, especially for newlyweds and couples celebrating special occasions, however, if total and complete privacy is what you're looking for, you might try another listing.

Guest access
The entire main floor, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, expansive great room with a grand piano and fireplace is yours to enjoy. There is a third bedroom and full bathroom downstairs. You will also have access to the home theater with a 10' screen, also downstairs. The theater has internet streaming options as well as a Blueray/DVD player. Three levels of outdoor decks overlooking the pool and the magnificent scenery are also included. The gas grill and hot tub are for your use and enjoyment. While very well suited for larger groups, my place is perfect for couples and individuals too.

There is a second kitchen/rec room downstairs at the end of the hall that I keep separated and locked off from the rest of the house. I reserve this space to cook my meals, and for Rojo as his designated sleeping spot when he's not with guests. I also park my vehicle in the garage at the other end of the hallway.

Other things to note:
We are so glad that you have chosen us for your getaway. I want your stay to be comfortable, peaceful, and especially memorable. I’ve tried to provide the environment to accomplish just that, but I may have left something out. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or for anything that I can do make your brief visit the best that it can be.

In order to make sure that my lodge remains 5 star, and available to the kind of clientele that I would expect to treat a 5 star property as such, I am very firm on my house rules, as stated in this listing. I am very reasonable and will entertain special requests if communicated up front, but I will not tolerate surprises. No Parties! Your rental is good only for the number of people listed in your booking details. No "drop in" friends or family without prior permission. I want you to know up front that if my rules are disregarded at any point, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

Our rules can be summed up with the Golden Rule, so if you’re familiar with that, you’re good to go. You’re free to use anything on the pantry shelves aor i the refrigerator. Feel free to leave anything left over that might benefit the next guest.

Feel free to use the gas grill on the lower deck. Call me if you need help with lighting it.

For guests using my swimming pool, I ask for a one time payment of $10/guest. This can be paid directly to me once you are here on the property. I take cash, or electronic payment through any of the electronic payment methods (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, etc.)

There are music systems throughout the house that you can connect with using your smart-phone or tablet, or you can use our devices. Also there are several options for watching TV and movies. If you are interested, contact me to explain them to you.
