The staff was pleasant, and the room was dated, but those werenât our issues. The room had a single lock on each door (door to street & door to balcony). No chain. The bathroom light had a built-in fan that ran when the light was on and brought in the smell of marijuana 85% of the time we ran it. Awful. The tub did not drain well. Ankle deep water at the end of a rushed shower. Toilet would not pass a home inspection. Not securely attached to the floor. Shifted when one sat. The sheet were washed but stained. Beds squeaked when one sat. There was a nice little fridge and a decent TV with the Food network. But, the atmosphere was poor. The police were banging on the door of the room next door one morning of our stay, asking questions about the behavior of a guest. Lovely to wake up to. They were there again the next morning - two cop cars and a fire truck. Was the stay cheap? Sure was. Would I stay there again? Certainly not! I read the sweet review written by the lady whose daughter loved feeding the ducks in the river out back. It swayed me to choose this place. Allow my review to give you a balanced look at the cons of this place. A few ducks and geese arenât reason enough to stay. Bring your family elsewhere.
