However, we have included some of the theses past guest reviews in the pictures at the end of the reel, showcasing its former 4.8 rating. This property is now managed by Brigadoon Vacation Rentals.



Experience the beautiful Olympic Peninsula at the Downtown Retreat - a spacious yet cozy custom apartment with stunning features, generous amenities, gorgeous mountain views and the ultimate convenient location in the heart of downtown Sequim. This 1200 sq.ft. apartment is ideal for romantic getaways, solo retreats, remote work or adventure headquarters. The Downtown Retreat occupies the second story above the iconic home and garden store, Over the Fence - the best shopping on the Peninsula!



The space

Welcome to the Downtown Retreat!



Step inside the apartment and you'll be transported to a private, peaceful getaway. Leave your worries at the door and let the Downtown Retreat refresh you. Cedar vaulted ceilings, skylights, cork floors and custom design details throughout give the space an incredible feeling: spacious and luxurious, yet secluded, warm and inviting.



Convenient amenities such as plenty of free parking, secure private entrance, high speed internet and a full laundry room are sure to make for an amazing stay. We hope you'll fall in love with the Downtown Retreat!



- Bathroom -

This stunning, spacious bathroom is one of the highlights of the Downtown Retreat. Gorgeous claw foot bathtub, separate shower with rain shower head and handheld wand, pretty pedestal sink and cabinet full of towels are a dream come true. Your own spa experience awaits!



- Bedroom -

Comfortable queen-size bed with fine linens and en suite bathroom. Upholstered headboard, night stands and reading lamps on both sides call for long, cozy mornings.



- Kitchen -

The incredibly well-stocked kitchen is ready for all your cooking needs. Full-size appliances along with spacious counters and large island with seating make meal prep easy. Selection of tea and fresh ground coffee provided - your choice of French press or coffee maker. This kitchen inspires staying in and enjoying the cooking and dining experience.



- Living -

The kitchen flows right into the open-concept living area, giving you several options for all your activities. Have a romantic candlelit meal at the dining table, play a tune on the piano, get lost in a puzzle or game. Stay in for a cozy movie night with the brand new 65" HD TV with Roku and Bose sound bar. The French balcony with room to stand, overlooks main street and sweeping views of the Olympic mountains and stunning sunsets.



- Rooftop Patio - (Not Available - In remodulation)

The perfect spot to kick back and relax in the two comfy lounge chairs. You'll get lovely morning exposure (and sunrises if you're up early enough!) and cool shade in the evenings for those warm summer days.



- Over The Fence -

Established in 1996 by your host Jeri, Over the Fence has long been a destination for home and garden fine furnishings and decor. Quality furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, mirrors, outdoor furniture and pottery are the mainstays. You can also find great gifts, the best cards and incredible chocolate truffles!



Important note before you book: Guests are required to complete the Check-In Form provided by Brigadoon Vacation Rentals as a mandatory step to finalize their reservation. To ensure a smooth check-in process, a valid government-issued photo ID must be attached to the form.



Guest access

The entire apartment and designated roof patio are accessible to our guests.

The rest of the rooftop area is closed.



Other things to note

Please note: the apartment is unique in that it shares the building with an active retail business downstairs. Keep noise to a minimum during business hours (Wednesday - Saturday 11 to 4pm). Sound travels to the business below. Please be considerate with use of TV, music and piano during business hours. Thank you!



A discount of 10% off for 6-9 nights and 15% off for 10 nights or more will automatically apply at booking. If you booked via Airbnb, the discount will already be included in the price and will not show as a separate deduction. If you booked via VRBO, please ask us to apply the discount to your stay. For longer stays between 21-28 nights, we'll set up a mid-stay cleaning free of charge, and an additional $260 non-refundable fee will be applied to cover up to $3,000 in damage insurance, ensuring peace of mind during your extended stay.



NOTE: Child Restriction: Children under the age of 12 years are not allowed at this home.

The location was excellent and the place was beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen had everything for meals. Parking was convenient.Nice area for using as a base for beaches or mountains. Many great restaurants nearby and nearby markets for grocery essentials. The books to read in the unit were a treat. The only negative was traffic noise at times and the unfortunate use of gas powered leaf blowers early to sweep the commercial grounds. Thanks for providing a lovely space.

We love the home decor store “Over the Fence” and were very excited to stay in the apartment above the store. The location was perfect for us to explore down town Sequim. Also, the apartment was nice and spacious. We would recommend to anyone!!

This is a beautifully appointed apartment in the heart of downtown Sequim. It’s been very thoughtfully put together and is perfect for one person or a couple. The shop downstairs is open limited days/hours; we had no trouble with parking or any other issues while it was open. Coffee, restaurants, and many businesses are all within walking distance. Kitchen is very complete and would be easy to cook in. This is not where to stay if you want a water view (which we knew, just saying this for people who don’t know Sequim’s layout), but is great in every other way.

Very nice and clean accommodations. Loved the large kitchen and living area to spread out and relax, as well as the big bathroom with separate shower and tub. All the books, games, and puzzles were a nice bonus available during our downtime too.One note of improvement for host to consider is an air conditioning unit nearer to the bedroom and bathroom. However we did have, I suppose, unusually very warm sunny days on our visit. My recommendation for now is to do as we did and use the box fan found in the laundry room to push cold air that direction to make it comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient downtown location

My trip was to visit elderly parents in a care facility in Sequim This location was a close drive I enjoyed waking to coffee shops, favorite bakery next store and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The bedroom is close to a side street and you do hear some traffic noise in the am. Nighttime is pretty quiet in Sequim so getting to sleep no problem Nice living room w views of the mountain comfortable furniture and good easy to work TV. I stayed in February The temperature was fine inside w the pre set thermostat. I plan to stay here again
