Set in the Lot-et-Garonne countryside, Château Segalas is a romantic twin-towered residence where historic French charm meets relaxed rural living. With its graceful silhouette and stonework, this small château feels like a private piece of history, thoughtfully restored to create a welcoming holiday home for up to 12 guests, ideally located close to the Dordogne border.

Across the six beautifully appointed bedrooms you’ll find fine linen, period furnishings and characterful details such as exposed beams and original stonework. Two tower rooms feature four-poster beds, while another boasts a sleigh bed, all echoing the château’s classic style. The spacious living areas blend rustic charm with homely comfort, including a family room with TV and DVD player perfect for low-key movie nights.

Outside, the large swimming pool is a true showstopper, complemented by a magnificent pool house. Once a barn, the pool house has been transformed into a sociable space for long lunches, evening barbecues or simply escaping the midday sun. Complete with covered lounging areas and table tennis, it offers a welcoming hub for guests of all ages.

In the northwest corner of Lot-et-Garonne, close to the rolling hills of the Dordogne, Château Segalas is perfectly placed for discovering the gentle rhythm of south-west France. Sip espresso in Lauzun’s village square, visit historic bastide towns or spend the day kayaking on one of the region’s two great rivers. For wine lovers, Bergerac’s renowned vineyards and the Château de Monbazillac are just a short drive away.

In the northwest corner of Lot-et-Garonne, close to the rolling hills of Dordogne, Château Segalas enjoys an idyllic setting on a gently sloping hill in one of south-west France’s most picturesque rural regions. Surrounded by farmland and sweeping fields of summer sunflowers, this historic estate is perfectly placed for exploring an enchanting area shaped by three great rivers – the Dordogne, the Lot and the Garonne.


Just 13km away, the bastide town of Castillonnes offers a classic taste of French village life, with its arcaded square, weekly market and panoramic views. Even closer, the nearby village of Lauzun (8.5km) enchants with its Renaissance château and relaxed café culture, while the medieval hilltop town of Monflanquin (27km) is a true jewel of the region – officially listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.


Guests are also ideally positioned to explore some of the most celebrated villages of the Dordogne. Eymet (15km) is known for its vibrant market and British-influenced charm, while Issigeac (22km) brims with history and character, especially on a Sunday when its medieval streets come alive with a bustling market. Don’t miss Monpazier (39km), a stunning bastide founded by Edward I of England and widely considered one of France’s finest.


Wine lovers can take a scenic drive to the Château de Monbazillac (32km), famed for its sweet white wines and impressive views over the Dordogne Valley. Or head into Bergerac (38km), a lively riverside town full of historic half-timbered buildings, excellent restaurants and the charming statue of Cyrano de Bergerac in the old town square.

Yes, and four hours cleaning also included (two hours per day, two days per week). However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
