Guest access
Our smart lock and electronic keypad will be programmed with your unique entry code, allowing you access to your own private entrance and access to the entire 2nd and 3rd stories of the home. (Your code will be provided to you before check-in). Simply enter your unique code, push the red circle, and you're in!

The home has a single dedicated off-street parking space by the front door for your vehicle for your conveninece
Other things to note
The home features radiant heat floors. They work great, but they are very slow to react to changes in settings, so we installed the AC/Heater inverters. Please DO NOT change any wall thermostats to adjust the heating, but use the remote controls for the inverters instead.
The TVs are equipped with Roku, providing access to Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming channels.

The location is ideally located 1/2 block from the beach-- close enough for a short walk and to capture the breezes, and just far enough to avoid the stifiling traffic and crowds during the peak summer.

There are 2 full staircases, so please be careful if you are staying with infants and/or elderly. There are baby gates in the laundry area available for use.

Also note that the downstairs studio is a separate rental with its own separate entrance (from the patio) and is NOT connected to your space, but it is possible that it may be occupied. There is a LOCKED DOUBLE-KEYED DEADBOLT DOOR separating the two units so nobody else has access to your space.

IMPORTANT: The townhome shares a common wall with an identical unit next door. There is NO SMOKING on the upper balcony as I've gotten complaints in the past that the smoke goes into the next door neighbor's bedroom. It's best not to wear shoes once inside the unit because walking with shoes on the wood floors can often be heard downstairs. Thank you for your consideration with this request.

FAQs
Q: Do you have air conditioning?
Yes, we do! Unlike most homes in Seattle, we have AC inverters throughout the house. Inverters are on the main floor (living room and kitchen), and in each bedroom. They are controlled via remote.

Q: How does the AC work?
The whole house is on a single system, so for the inverters to work correctly, it's best to make sure they are all on the same setting. For example, in the summer, make sure they're all set to "cooling" and set to your desired temperature. You can use the remote controls to adjust the setting and temperature of the inverters.

Q: How does the parking work?
There is a dedicated parking spot reserved for you, on the side of the home facing the alley. You will see a handful of spaces; make sure to only park in the FURTHEST SPOT TO THE LEFT. It is the spot that is directly closest to the front door of the home. The other spots belong to our neighbors, so please do not park in them.
We do have an electronic guidebook with visual instructions for parking and check-in that will be sent to you ahead of your check-in date as well, to make the process as seamless as possible.

Q: What time are check-in and check-out?
Our normal check-in time begins at 4pm. We use electronic locks with smart keypads that automatically program your code for the duration of your booking, so we have a self check-in system. You do not have to worry about arriving late; you can arrive any time after 4pm.
Our normal check-out time is 11AM. Please note that your keypad code will stop working after this. If you have questions about an early check-in or a late check-out, please see below.

Q: Is an early check-in/a late check-out possible?
Yes, but it is dependent on our booking calendar and the schedule of our cleaners at that time. Please reach out to us the day before (or day of) your check-in to see if we can get you in earlier than our usual 4pm check-in time. Oftentimes, even if we can't get you in early, you can still drop off your luggage at the home (even if our cleaners are still there).
For late check-out: Similarly, it's highly dependent on our schedule. Please contact us about a late check-out as soon as you are able to, ideally a day or two in advance of your scheduled check-out, so our cleaners can plan accordingly. If a new guest is scheduled to check in the same day, we may not be able to accomodate a late check-out. Reach out to us, and we'll work with you as best we can.

Q: How do you use the fireplace?
There is a switch (looks like a light switch) on the wall to the right of the fireplace, by the TV. Turn on the switch and wait a minute or two for the fireplace to turn on.

Q: Do you allow parties?
No. We do not allow parties at the home under any circumstances. (This can differ from family gatherings-- reach out to us.) Please respect our community and our neighbors; do not cause any disturbances, and be a good patron of our home. Thank you.

Q: Do you allow pets?
No, unfortunately we do not allow pets at the home.
We are obligated to accomodate trained and registered ADA service animals-- please contact us if this is the case for you, and we'd appreciate if you can provide any relevant documentation/certifications so we can best accomodate you.
Please note that this is distinct from ESAs/Emotional Support Animals.
