Summary:

Welcome to Meadow Lark in Sea Ranch. This 2-bedroom + loft house sleeps up to 4 and puts you near the ocean with sea views, a private hot tub, and guest access to the Ohlson Recreation Center.



The Space:

Set within Sea Ranch’s iconic coastal community, this comfortable home is designed for easygoing getaways. You’ll have 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a flexible loft for lounging or additional sleeping space (max occupancy 4). The vibe is relaxed and family-friendly, with simple comforts and thoughtful touches throughout.

Spend time outside in the garden/backyard, where outdoor seating invites you to unwind after a day on the trails. Fire up the BBQ for casual dinners and finish the evening with a soak in the private hot tub under the stars. Inside, the upstairs loft doubles as a hangout with a TV, board games, and a DVD player. Dogs are welcome, and pet essentials like bowls and a dog bed are provided.

Important Things to Note

‱ Beach gear: 4 beach chairs and beach towels are provided.

‱ Parking: Parking is available for up to 2 cars. Your check-in packet will include 2 parking passes. Sea Ranch does not allow overnight street parking. RVs and street parking are not permitted. No extra parking beyond what is described.

‱ Pets: We’re happy to welcome your furry friends! Up to 2 dogs (50 lbs combined) are allowed per stay. An additional fee of $75 per pet applies. If you are provided the option, please include your pet(s) in the guest count at booking. If this is not an option, please reach out to our Guest Experience team prior to your stay to add your pet(s) and ensure the fee is processed. Dog bowls and a dog bed are available for use.

‱ WiFi & Connectivity: WiFi is provided and is typically suitable for students and teleworkers; however, due to Sea Ranch’s remote location, internet speed and reliability—as well as cell service—can be spotty or occasionally unavailable.

‱ Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

‱ We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

‱ We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

Sea Ranch is a private, planned coastal community. Many beaches and trails in the area are private to homeowners.

As a Meadow Lark guest, you’ll have access to the Ohlson Recreation Center amenities (pool, tennis court, chapel) by reservation only. Availability is not guaranteed and amenities may be fully booked during your dates.

We were excited to rent this calssic Sea Ranch home, but on arrival we noticed several ant traps all throughout the first floor of the property. We figured it would be okay, but that quickly changed. As we were unpacking, the kitchen counters became inundated with ants. Nothing could be left on them, and we were constantly trying to get rid of them. When I went into the primary bedroom and bath on the first floor, there were both live and dead ants covering the baseboards. While sitting at the dining table the following day eating lunch, there were ants crawling on my arms. We paid nearly 1500 for 2 nights and let the rental agency know when we left that there was a problem and they said that for what we paid that shouldn't have been something that we should've had to deal with and that they would look into it. They finally came back after I sent a follow up email a week later and said there's nothing they could do, and that they wouldn't do anything because I didn't reporrt it while we were there. We had the house 2 days, and didn't want anyone in there while we were there. I had even sent them photos of the ants, but I guess that doesn't matter to them.

This house has wonderful art, so many books and board games and a great record collection! The location was very close to the bluff trail for stunning daily strolls. The closest beach (Stengel) is unavailable because the stairs are closed. There is an unmarked beach a 12 min walk south near the Rec Center and our fav beach (Shell Beach) was a 30 min walk north or a short drive with a 1/2 mile walk. Good food in nearby Gualala. Sea Ranch was very quiet and relaxing and the house had great light and windows. The kitchen could use an update, but is very functional.

Beautiful place

Beautiful place, lovely decor, comfy bedding.Easy access to property and parking.Very spacious. We enjoyed bbq and hot tub outdoor areas! There are also lots of trail nearby.Keep in mind the WiFi did not work the entire stay. We took that time to decompress, but still would have been nice to have so we could research nearby amenities.This is remote place - there will be bugs, in the winter it was not bad.The place was clean with a couple of detail exceptions: Under the bathroom sink was very dusty and had some bugs. Trundle bed sheet (bottom mattress) had pet hair. Other than that: kitchen was super clean, showers, etc as well.Well equipped kitchen.Overall a very lovely stay!

Family Holiday get away

Meadowlark was an absolute joy for our family of four- cozy cabin, full of daylight yet very private with unique architecture and very good sense of design throughout. We appreciated the sense of craft and artistic touches that per Rated the space. There was good energy vibration and we felt very much at home. We highly recommend it to the discerning crowd and would stay here again!

expensive, lovely stay

The A-frame concept house was pretty and well-appointed, if not completely practical. The Sea Ranch setting is quiet, peaceful, and so lovely. Very dark at night... I saw the Milky Way just standing in the driveway! The stairway to the beach within walking distance was permanently closed. We drove to another beach which was closed for trail maintenance. The door code for the front door was very glitchy... we got in the first time and then just left a side door unlocked. Overall, a lovely stay.

Great house. Beautiful location. A few issues with the combination lock but once we resolved that we had no issues. Wonderful record collection we enjoyed the whole weekend. Beds were comfortable. We used the fireplace every night. We’ll be back.

Perfect Location, Perfect Little House

My husband, toddler son, dog and I really enjoyed our stay. We were sad to leave and go back to reality. The house was clean and gorgeous both inside and outside. It was well stocked and had the most beautiful dinnerware. It had an exceptional array of books, tea sets and records. All were put to good use. The house is right next to a trail head, not far from a gorgeous beach where we spent a good deal of time. We saw gray foxes, dolphins, an array of birds, and dozens of deer. My only gripe (and we’re getting nit picky here) is that I wish there were screens on the doors, especially the bedrooms. Airflow was minimal and the rooms got really hot. Some screens would allow us to open up at night without allowing wildlife inside. There are also two cameras, one by the front door and one by the back. I don’t like it, but I get it. We just turned them upwards when going into the Jacuzzi. This is an amazing property, a perfect house. We hope to stay there again soon.

Wonderful family friendly space, difficult to reach property management company

We had a great time with our two young kids at Sea Ranch! Close by to many beaches and estuaries. Nicely furnished but also kid friendly. Our fav-- the record player! Large property management company was hard to get in touch with on the Saturday that we were arriving. No email replies from them and the phone kept ringing with no answer. We had difficulties getting into the home. The representative would not give me the code over the phone even though I had the confirmation number and correct email linked to the reservation. She could only resend the email to the same email I just gave her, and told me to check the email. The reception up at Sea Ranch was very spotty so we had to drive around until I could access wifi. The email sent out had the keypad code at the very top of the email in like 9-point font so hard to find, and the code should be placed under the "to unlock and enter the home" subsection. Just wish the property manager made it easier to help us. I can't imagine what it would be like for a late night check in.

great cozy sea ranch spot

we had a great time at meadowlark. kitchen was well stocked, lots of board games and the kids loved the hot tub. located right across the street from the bluff trail, it's a great spot for exploring all of sea ranch's beauty. will definitely go back!
