Rosie's Homestead is an early 1900's farmhouse in the Schulenburg area that has been newly and meticulously remodeled. It sits on 17 acres creating just the needed privacy. The longleaf pine wood floors upstairs are original to the home. It is nestled in a peaceful environment of beautiful mature pecan trees. The farmhouse charm resonates in every room with 4 large bedrooms (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) and 3 spacious full bathrooms (all with double vanities). Upstairs also has a gameroom with TV/Playstation/games to enjoy! The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances. There is a laundry room with a new washer and dryer. It comfortably sleeps 16! There are porches on the front and back of the home that make it difficult to leave! Sit on the porch and watch the kids play in the large fenced-in yard (tetherball available) or just sit and watch the birds/cows. Bring marshmallows to roast or steaks to grill on the firepit. Gas grill also available. Keep an eye on the deer feeder for any visitors or just sit and watch the cows graze! In very close proximity to the house is the barn that has been turned into a "party barn." The barn is equipped with ping pong table, corn hole, dominoe table, benches/chairs/bar, lighting/ceiling fans, etc. Or forget the games and bring a speaker and two-step the night away! If your looking for a true country get-away, this is it!

It is conveniently located between Houston and San Antonio right off I-10.

The home is prime location for many of the wedding venues. Enjoy the ride to the wedding by the taking the scenic country roads to The Oaks of High Hill (11 miles), Svetlik Farm (9.5 miles), Swiss Alp Hall (12 miles) or Twin Oaks Ranch (17 miles).

Just minutes from The Painted Church Tour (Praha church 10 miles) and Monument Hill & Kreische Brewery State Historic Site (22 miles). It is surrounded by multiple wineries, breweries, and bars including Sengelmann Hall (8.7 miles), Majek Vineyard & Winery (12 miles), Moravia Vineyard & Winery (12 miles), Moravia Store (13 miles), Darcy's Vineyard (26 miles), Whistling Duck Vineyards & Winery (26 miles), Braham Winery (27 miles), Spoetzl Brewery (25 miles), and the list goes on!

Popular Events in the area: Round Top Antiques Fair (twice a year in October and April, Warrenton 35 miles and Round Top 39 miles), Schulenburg Festival (first weekend in August, 10 miles), Schulenburg Sausagefest (yearly in April, 8.7 miles), Praska Pout (yearly on August 15th, 10 miles), Flatonia Czilispiel (yearly in October, 6.3 miles), and multiple other picnics/events.

We had a fantastic stay at the Ren Farmhouse! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The farmhouse was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.The Game Barn was a huge highlight and made the stay even more fun. The 17 acres give you plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, and the location is perfect—only about 10 minutes from nearby wedding venues and a short drive to the Round Top Antique Show.Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect getaway!

Easy to access from freeway and easy to get into town. Sweet little farmhouse with tons of room and thoughtful details! Kids had a blast playing games in the game barn and everyone enjoyed the fire pit and back porch! Loved that we were able to bring our family dog along, too!!!

Fantastic!

This is by far the best family rental we've ever stayed at! The house was impeccable and designed perfectly so that we never felt crowded. The game barn outside is where we spent a lot of our time. It was a great place for kids, teens, and adults alike! We also loved looking at the cows!!! If you're looking for a peaceful family getaway, look no further!

Peaceful getaway

Great experience relaxing and connecting with nature and family. The owner is really accommodating and we enjoyed staying for the second time. The property is very conveniently located off I -10, grocery store and restaurants are close by. The Market in Flatonia has everything you need so makes it easy to purchase goods for any occasion. We will definitely be back to relax and enjoy with family.

This was our third visit to this property. As usual, it was great. Peaceful, quiet, pleasant surroundings. No place better than the back porch at both sunrise and sunset. If only Mother Nature could provide more wildlife, it would be perfect.

Wonderful!

This house was great! Two families stayed (6 kids ages 4-10) and there was plenty of room! Everything was perfect. We booked last minute and the house was ready to go. The property was perfect for our kids and we enjoyed the fire pit/games in the barn at night. Highly recommended!

I’d pay double for this place!

This place was perfect for our family attending a nearby wedding. It comfortably sleep everyone. Very clean and cute (decorated for Christmas!). Nice porch, fire pit, pastures. Even a barn with ping pong, dominoes, corn hole and more that we weren’t expecting! Will definitely stay again if we have the opportunity.

Fun Times at the Farmhouse

The Farmhouse was perfect! It is beautifully decorated and everything we could have needed was there. Our five grandkids had a blast playing in the open backyard while the grownups relaxed and enjoyed their fun. No one was eager to go home!

2nd year as good as the first

Very nice property, well arranged. Peaceful country setting, nice to be out of the city. Only two slight problems: 1) some road noise from I-10 about 1/2 mile away, and 2) wish there was a little more wildlife. But we will be back again next year.
