If youâre looking for a getaway on the coast, Morganâs Rest is a modern and spacious holiday apartment located in the popular town of Scarborough. Whether youâre travelling with family or friends, you can explore the local attractions, enjoy the sandy beaches and try the famous fish and chips! Sleeping up to four guests, Morganâs Rest has everything you could need for a staycation by the sea.
The Space:
Morganâs Rest has a spacious living room. With two comfy sofas and a flat screen TV, this is the ideal place to relax after a fun-filled day at the beach.
The open plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware so you can really make the most of your self-catering stay. The dining area includes a table and two matching benches where you can enjoy meals with your loved ones.
From here, youâll have direct access to the spacious decked area at the rear of the property. With comfy outdoor seating, this is a great place to take in the fresh air and dine alfresco.
Head to the master bedroom, on the lower floor at Morganâs Rest, and youâll find a comfortable king size bed with premium bed linens and plush bedding.
The family bathroom includes a generously sized shower, along with a WC and basin.
The second bedroom is also home to a king size bed. Located on the upper floor, the room also boasts a dressing table and good storage space.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
A parking scratch card will be provided, allowing for free on-street parking on surrounding roads.
The Neighborhood:
Located in the seaside town of Scarborough, Morganâs Rest is just a short walk to all of the attractions. Packed with seaside charm, youâll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to discover as well as arcades and ice cream parlours.
There are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning itâs one of the best beaches in Europe! Cayton Bay is the quietest of the three and boasts a sweeping bay with a rural feel. Lastly Cornelian Bay is the remotest and hardest to get to but itâs a hidden gem and often empty.
Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If itâs outdoor fun youâre looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a short 20 minute walk from the apartment where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby.
Getting Around:
Morganâs Rest is within walking distance of all that Scarborough has to offer and within 1 hoursâ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hoodâs Bay and Filey.
Scarborough Train Station is a short 6 minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Scarborough. Hop on the 12 route and you can visit neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hoodâs Bay and Whitby.
