What to Expect at 1852 Gardens

When you walk into 1852 Gardens, you step into the past. This vacation home is a charming apartment set inside a historic Victorian row home. Though we've fully updated our Savannah vacation rentals with modern comforts, we've made sure to keep many of the beautiful historic elements intact. Exposed brick and stone, a fireplace, and arched French doors add vintage charm to the home.

The heart of 1852 Gardens is the central living space. This open floor plan includes a cozy seating area with a couch, armchairs, and ottomans. The room contains a television for watching all your favorite shows and eclectic, global-inspired decor. Tall French doors let in light and provide a lovely view of the garden outside. This part of the home also includes a dining table with two chairs, so you can have a spot to enjoy a lazy breakfast or host a dinner party.

To the side of the living space is a fully-equipped kitchen. An antique fireplace and hutch reference the home's historic past, while stainless steel appliances and white subway tile add a touch of modernity. The kitchen contains a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, and oven, so it's easy to cook at home. Though Savannah's tasty restaurants are just a few steps away, the kitchens in our Savannah vacation rentals make it easy to have a quiet, affordable meal at home whenever you want.

1852 Gardens is one of our two-person Savannah vacation homes. It features a full-sized bedroom with a queen bed, a fireplace, and a seating area. This peaceful bedroom is decorated in shades of soft white and cozy red, making it the perfect spot for a good night's sleep. Off of the bedroom is an en-suite bath. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower, so you can pamper yourself after a day of exploring Savannah.

We Provide the Ideal Spot for Relaxing in Nature

One of the best things about this home is its garden-side design. The French doors in the living room lead directly to a relaxing courtyard. This roomy space is shared with other Savannah vacation homes, and it's the perfect getaway. You can rest in the sun and catch a breeze away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A bubbling fountain and beautifully maintained hedges are a fantastic backdrop to your vacation. The courtyard is outfitted with a variety of lounge and dining furniture. You can have a refreshing lunch at the wrought iron table and chairs or sink into the settee cushions while you read a good book.

Our vacation rentals Savannah GA are designed to be your home away from home. We make sure you don't have to bother with packing little necessities like hangers or soap. Instead, 1852 Garden is fully outfitted with a variety of helpful essentials. In the kitchen, amenities include a broad range of cooking necessities. We have pots, pans, spatulas, and other tools needed to make a tasty meal. Once your food's ready, you'll find the cupboards are stocked with cups, plates, bowls, utensils, and more. The bedroom and bathroom contain plenty of fresh linens, including towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows.

Throughout the home, you can enjoy central air conditioning and heating. 1852 Garden is also electronics-friendly. We offer free WiFi and have outlets conveniently located to charge your devices. All our Savannah vacation homes guests also have access to a neat outdoor amenity. We provide free entry to a resort-style swimming pool that's heated and surrounded by umbrellas and lounge chairs.

One of the big reasons many people choose 1852 Garden is for its incredible location. This vacation home is situated on one of the blocks surrounding renowned Forsyth Park. The park is a great spot to go for a walk, play a game of tennis, or see historical landmarks. Since it's one of the most popular locations in Savannah, the neighborhood also attracts some of Savannah's best restaurants and shops. Our Savannah vacation home is right by several delicious spots like Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, Wicked Cakes of Savannah, and Collins Quarter.

Once you're ready to travel outside of the immediate neighborhood, you'll find all sorts of fantastic things to do. Savannah is one of the oldest cities in the nation, so it is home to beautiful Colonial and Victorian architecture. You can hop on the free trolley to tour the historic districts, or you can learn about the town at one of its many museums.

Savannah is also known for its arts and culture. The town is a great spot to visit if you enjoy exploring art museums or going to concerts. Depending on when you visit the town, there can be fun local events like holiday parades and pride festivals. The downtown area also hosts farmers' markets and contains several local boutiques to shop at.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

The Pool is open during the below dates and times.
March 1 - Oct 31: Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
Nov 1 - Feb 28/29: Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm

Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.

Location, location, location

Overall, the stay was excellent, and the location/ proximity to Forsyth Park, historical attractions, dining/ shopping far exceeded expectations. Access to parking was not an issue ( note that the zone only allows for purchasing in 2 hr. Increments). The interior was mostly comfortable, clean, and provided a quiet, relaxing ambiance. (We had a minor issue with mosquitoes gathering in the front entrance, and then getting in the unit) The exterior patio and courtyard was very inviting, well kept, and perfect for relaxing. (Wet met the very nice, hard working care taker of the gardens, plants/ flowers, which was a pleasure). I will definitely consider this property for any future visits to Savannah, GA.

We loved our stay! We would return. Make sure to buy your kitchen and bath preferences right away as the Krogers is really the best place to shop. We took an Uber fast and easy. Lovely parks nearby and it’s a very walkable city. I’ve been to Savannah twice before and we will go again and we would stay here again.

Cute place, uncomfortable bed

We loved the location and how easy it was to get everywhere by biking/ walking. The queen bed was very uncomfortable and after a long day of walking/bike riding it would've been nice to sleep somewhere a bit more comfy. The house itself was beautiful and loved the decor. The dryer also did not dry clothes, it ran 5 cycles on the hottest cycle and still the three pairs of jeans were not dry. Thankfully we air dried them outside one the chairs in the garden which was way faster.
