The Impeccable Peacock situated on the much-coveted Gaston Street, has been meticulously restored and furnished to offer guests a peaceful and opulent retreat just steps away from Forsyth Park and the walkable streets and squares along Bull and Abercorn.
The row of 5 Italianate rowhouses at 108 to 116 East Gaston were constructed in 1884 by JJ Dale & David Wells, notable political figures of their era. The Impeccable Peacock sits as the second in the row and is also the third home from Drayton and Gaston Streetsâright at Forsyth Parkâs corner.
The mansion is divided into three distinct residences with this listing specifically for the 2 bedroom Garden/Ground level suite.
Facing Gaston Street, the entrance to the Impeccable Peacock Garden Suite, is on the ground floor, in Savannah called the Garden Level. There is an iron gate and black front door that opens to the 2 bedroom garden suite.
Historically, ground floors of multi-story mansions was where kitchens were often located. Using large brick fireplaces for cooking and having doors at either end of the space to allow breezes to sweep through. When the owners purchased this home, the garden level was completely unfinished with the original dirt floors and exposed brick walls. The renovation covered the brick walls with plaster and finished out the details with the most charming, modern finishes.
The home is a light-filled with a modern open-concept kitchen, dining nook and living room all open for collective gathering. Seating for four on under the covered patio gives guests the view of the lush courtyard and sounds of the soothing fountain just beyond. The courtyard is shared with guests in the other 2 parts of the property, but the patio is only for you.

The City of Savannah Noise Ordinance requires strict observance of QUIET TIME between 10 pm and 8 am. Savannah Police and the neighborhood strictly enforce this. The individual violators can be fined and/or EVICTED.
*No pets or smoking allowed.
PARKING:
This property has metered street parking Monday through Friday, free on Saturday/Sunday and uses Meter Pay Stations on each block. Parking is limited on Gaston Street but easier to find on surrounding blocks.
Visitor Parking Day Passes are available for 24hours/$15 and 48hours/$24 and can be purchased at the City of Savannah Parking Services Office.
