Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan along the prestigious Lakeshore Drive, you will love the location of Raintree. This is a classic Lake Michigan cottage with many upgraded amenities. 

Sit back and relax on the spacious sun porch with full views over Lake Michigan. There is a seating area with wicker furniture which is perfect for visiting with your loved ones, sipping your morning coffee, or enjoying a good book. There is also a dining area where you can gather with your loved ones to enjoy a meal, one cooked at home or from a local restaurant, with Lake Michigan as your backdrop. 

Step inside the formal living area where you'll find a variety of comfortable seating areas and a piano. This is the ideal place to gather with your loved ones year-round while sharing past memories and making new ones. 

The adjacent formal dining area is perfect for summer evening meals in the central air conditioning or holiday dinners in the winter months. 

Head into the kitchen where you will find everything you need for a meal at home. Gas stove top, double oven, double sink, side-by-side refrigerator, and more than enough counter and cupboard space for all your goodies. The best part, you can see Lake Michigan while doing the dishes!

Just off the kitchen, you'll find the breakfast nook with full views of Lake Michigan. 

Beyond the formal dining area and just on the other side of the kitchen is the cozy family room. This space is complete with wood wood-burning fireplace and a large flat-screen Smart TV. You will love curling up next to the fire during your cold Michigan winters. Watch the snowflakes float past the window while you warm up by the fire and enjoy a movie on the big screen. 

The main level also offers a king bedroom and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. This is perfect for anyone who would prefer not to navigate stairs. 

The upper level will lead you to three additional bedrooms, two with Lake Michigan views, and a full bathroom with shower tub combo and a separate dressing area. 

Added in 2007 is a beautiful attached apartment perched above the garage. Convenient access is just off the indoor entryway near the garage. This space offers two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom, a living room with sliders to a French balcony, and a full kitchen. This extra space allows your group room to spread out while still being together. 

There is also wonderful outside space to enjoy at Raintree. The backyard patio boasts two outdoor tables with chairs, seating a total of 12. Enjoy the surrounding nature and flowers while eating a meal outside. 

Just across the street, you'll find a small lawn complete with fire pit and picnic table overlooking Lake Michigan. Roast marshmallows and count fireflies as the sun goes down on another gorgeous day. 

If the sandy Lake Michigan beach is calling your name, you have your own private beach to enjoy! Descend your private stairs to the shores of Lake Michigan. There are between 80 and 100 steps and they are straight down. Spend endless summer days soaking up the sunshine, squishing your toes in the sand, and splashing in the cool waters. This is what vacation feels like!

While staying at Raintree, be sure to take in all our area has to offer. Both downtown Saugatuck and Douglas are less than 3 miles away. You will find a variety of shops, fine and casual restaurants, ice cream, art galleries, and the waterfront boardwalk. From a picnic in the park to browsing fine art, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Head out of town to explore the greater area. You will love the assortment of wineries and breweries where you can enjoy tasting local products. Stop by a roadside stand and pick up local homegrown produce or a bundle of wood for this evening's fire. The charming small town Pure Michigan life is waiting for you.

This home is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper and natural waste. If you flush other items, such as feminine products, the sewer will back up into the house. Thank you for your cooperation. 
This is a classic Lake Michigan cottage. Though many items have been updated for your comfort, some have not. A mix of yesteryear and today.
You will love the private Lake Michigan beach access for your enjoyment. However, there are between 80 and 100 steps straight down. We do not recommend this for anyone who is not proficient and comfortable with stairs. For no-stair beach access, you can visit the Oval Beach only a few miles away. The water conditions on Lake Michigan do change daily and we cannot guarantee how much sand there will be at the beach.
