Welcome to Wooded Bliss!

This high-end single family home is ready to receive up to 8 adults (10 guests total including children). Everything is set for your perfect getaway in Saugatuck/Douglas at any time of the year. The home is a 15 minute walk/5 minute bike ride to downtown Saugatuck's many restaurants, bars, shopping, and activities with close proximity to Oval Beach and Lake Michigan as well.

With ultra-fast high-speed internet (1 Gigabit Speed), full house wifi coverage and a desk area in the 4th bedroom, this is also the perfect getaway for remote working & learning situations. Keyless entry allows for easy access and a more flexible, no-hassle, check in/check-out.

This modern farmhouse inspired home features a custom chef's kitchen with high-end black stainless steel LG appliances, an island with counter-seating, large main-floor primary bedroom with private en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, two 2nd floor guest bedrooms with a large shared bathroom, a half bath (with full washer/dryer) on the main floor off the shared living space and an additional large guest bedroom, game room with ping-pong table, 75" TV viewing area and full bath in the garden level basement space. In total, over 3,000 sq ft of space for you and your guests!

There is a dining room off the kitchen with a table for up to 8 adult guests plus 3 spaces for countertop seating on the kitchen island and plenty of comfortable seating areas for the whole family or group of friends to spend time together.

Looking to be outdoors? Just outside the kitchen/dining room there is a grilling area with Weber gas grill and a 6-person outdoor hot tub available year-round! Just off the main living room space is a generous sized outdoor deck with outdoor seating and dining space (from Memorial Day to Labor Day) for a perfect west coast of Michigan cookout! Additionally, behind the house, for the kids, is a wood-mulched play area with full-size cedar wood playset.

Looking for things outside the house? Wooded Bliss is located very close to town - just a few minutes in a car. Enjoy strolling Butler Street and hitting all the restaurants and shops Saugatuck has to offer. From the famous art galleries to locally roasted coffee, jam and jelly shops. There is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite the senses.

Get outside and enjoy the nature the area has to offer! With multiple boat/kayak rental options nearby, you can get out to the boat launch and hop in the Kalamazoo River in no time. If you're looking for a nice walk or hike, there are multiple wooded foot and bike trails that lead to the beach where you can find gorgeous sunsets. Bring your own bicycles or rent one nearby for the week for easy access into town or just a 20 minute bike ride to The Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Here you can hike straight through to the most idyllic beach. So many options to enjoy inside and outside of this property.

The rental was as described and amazing. Property manager communicated within minutes. There were zero issues with our stay. Priority location is a 10/10, very quiet and peaceful yet a 4 minute drive to downtown! The house had everything you would need, from a toddlers toys to kitchen utensils. Beautiful house close to everything

We had a nice family stay for a week with our adult kids and our 3 year old granddaughter. The house was perfect for the 7 of us with plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub and ping pong table was a bonus. The host was quick to respond to all questions and was very easy to work with. Highly recommend this house for a nice getaway. Everything you need to grill and make your own meals. 3/4 mile walk to town.

Beautiful, roomy, clean house in lovely wooded area near downtown Saugatuck

We have rented many homes in Saugatuck over the past 6 years, and this is by far the cleanest, more beautiful home we have rented! We had three couples, and with bedrooms on each floor, each couple not only had their own bedroom and bath, but the privacy of sleeping on their own floor as well! The house was immaculate, and well stocked. No need to buy extra toilet paper, paper towels or boxes of tissues (so many rental homes don't provide enough paper products!). Not this one! It had everything we needed. Both the outdoor deck and kitchen had tables that seated 6 adults easily. We played games and ate at both of them. And the wooded backyard was private and scenic. Twice, deer wondered through the back yard while we were on the deck (and one of the times, there was a baby deer, too!). We also had a wild turkey wonder through the yard! Us city-kids just loved the wildlife! I have one note regarding the distance to downtown Saugatuck, it is about a mile and a quarter, and we walked it several times, but the roads right around the house do not have sidewalks, so the walk can be a little tricky, especially if you have small children or anyone who has trouble walking on uneven surfaces. However, it is literally a 5 minute drive to every part of the downtown area, and we did that on a few occasions. All in all, it was a wonderful trip, and I would rent this house again in a heartbeat (and hope to, maybe in the Fall, when we would use the hot tub!) Thank you!

Wooded Bliss, indeed!

It was a fabulous stay. The hosts are responsive. The hot tub, swing set, and ping pong were big attractions. There is a good selection of toys, books, and games that entertained our 3 yr old and 5 yr old. Everything was clean, very user friendly, and quality. Loved it!

Beautiful, spacious and quiet Saugatuck retreat

We could not have been happier with our stay at this beautiful Saugatuck home. The home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and had more than enough room for our family of four plus two grandparents. The home was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything needed for a restful stay, especially the kitchen. We loved the location and took daily trips into downtown Saugatuck (a 5-minute drive) and beaches, pick-your-own farms and other attractions nearby. Our kids loved the toys in the cozy basement, as well as the ping-pong table, games, books, puzzles and backyard play set. We wouldn't hesitate to return again!

This house is a newer construction house and is very nice. It is extremely well appointed and worked well for our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). Very kid friendly which we loved. We were comfortable and had a great trip. Would love to stay here in again in the future.

Wooded Bliss is most aptly named!

A beautiful home. Lots of windows showcasing the bright green of the new spring leaves. A fantastic gathering place for our family (6 adults & 2 children) for our daughter’s wedding weekend. Kitchen has a beautiful picture frame window that shows off the sunset. Comfy beds & well equipped kitchen. The hot tub & the ping pong table were a hit. Our 6 year old grandson thought we should move here!

5 Star Stay!

Thanks to The Wooden Bliss, we enjoyed a perfect, long weekend. If only the wonderful host Mindy could have controlled the weather, I would have given our stay 6 stars. However, everything she could control was done perfectly, from the minute we expressed interest in the property, to the minute we left and everything in between. This property was immaculate in absolutely every way as it was more than apparent that there was great pride taken to make certain that was the case. Knowing my better half and the couple we hosted, that added so much to their enjoyment. It was pretty much “welcome home” from the moment you walked through the front door. Now, the kicker...we tend to enjoy a little bourbon every once and again, and to our very pleasant surprise, there was a little bottle of one of our favorites, waiting on the counter with a few other goodies. If that wasn’t enough, our collective dreams came true when we opened the freezer to find it well stocked with clear ice balls. If you are a bourbon drinker, I needn’t say any more. Mindy, what a great touch!! Finally, If you want to have close access to downtown Saugatuck, but feel like your miles and miles away, stay here!

Fall long weekend gateway

This property was great. Everything was brand new and clean. Great for a cozy fall getaway for the whole family. Everyone enjoyed it. Location was great. Close to downtown Saugatuck and Cranes Orchard. Owner had a cute gift package that included whiskey, coffee and treats. Such a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.
