Great Location in Lido

We were two families of 4 with 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The facilities were perfect for our vacation - super close to Lido Beach, within walking distance to St. Armands and with two 2-bedroom cottages so it was like the teenagers had their own place. The place had a pool (which can be cooled - I wish we knew that earlier given the extreme temps in Sarasota). The facilities were clean and the property management were extremely responsive to any concerns or requests. I highly recommend.

Can't be beat!

We had a fabulous time. The property was clean and the management super-responsive. Publix delivered out grocery order early, before check-in time, and their cleaners were happy to put it all in the fridge for us!The location absolutely cannot be beaten. 1 block from the beach and great snack shack (and bar) there, easy 10 minute walk to St. Armand's. The set-up with teo separate houses was perfect for our party with the adults staying in the back house and he 3 kids in the front, each with their own room. The pool was great and, unlike almost every other rental in the Sarasota area, was heated at no extra charge.Overall, 5 stars. Not fancy, not necessarily luxurious, but comfortable and complete. And for the price - lowest available by far! - it is perfection. We were worried about what we might find, wondering why it was "so cheap," but could not come up with anything after spending a week. Highly recommended and would absolutely go back.

Great location, good for big families with younger kids

We had a family vacation for 10 here. The property fit us comfortably with 6 bedrooms. The location is great - the public beach access is just across the street with a beachside restaurant and tiki bar. There is someone at the beach access who rents big umbrellas. St. Armand’s (an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants) is a 10 minute walk away. There are even a few kayak tour companies operating from a landing that is a 15 minute walk away. You could easily skip renting a car and just Uber to and from the Sarasota airport. There is a convenience store on the island but the closest grocery is on the mainland. The property itself is a little quirky - 2 adjacent houses, one has a kitchen, one used to have a kitchen (sink without a faucet covered over with a cutting board, room for a fridge and oven but only a couple mini fridges). And yes, there were cockroaches, we killed a total of nine over the course of a week. But the property manager is aware and a pest control technician sprayed for them a couple days into our week-long stay (but we continued to see cockroaches). Also there aren’t quite enough trash bins, they were overfull when we got there, the weekly collection didn’t get everything, and there wasn’t really room for a weeks worth of trash from 10 people that mainly at meals at our rental house. But the small pool is great for young kids, the property manager was quite responsive, and you really can walk to everything.

Great location but...

Pros: The location of this property is fantastic. It's a block away from Lido Beach. The pool was a nice place to hang out when the weather was too windy for the beach. Cons: We had cockroaches in our bedrooms (on our pillow as we slept!), the bathroom, the tiled area (former kitchen in front building), and the back building as well. (Management had exterminator come and spray outside and since there was not a dresser in the front bedroom for our clothes (we had to keep them in our luggage on the floor!), they also ordered a luggage rack that we put together ). Unfortunately for us, it was difficult to sleep well after that experience. Also, the front building is without an official kitchen. There is a mini fridge, a microwave, even a dishwasher, but no sink. If we needed to pour a drink out or wipe the counter, we would need to utilize the bathrooms. It was inconvenient since we thought the property had a kitchen in each building. Again, the location is great, but the price we paid for the week, I wasn't feeling as if I was staying in 'luxury.'

Great Location!

The location of this property makes it! It is walking distance to St. Armand’s as well as the beach. The property itself is in need of some work- there were plumbing issues, the washing machine did not work, garbage disposal, etc. The beds, furniture and decor is nice, but they need to update appliances and kitchen.

Awesome place by the beach!

This home was super cute and amazing! Clean, remodeled, and very cozy. We were less than a block away from Lido Key Beach and walked there every night for sunset. We all had comfortable mattresses and enjoyed having a kitchen for our use, even though we mostly walked over to the Circle and ate at some really fabulous restaurants. The pool is private and very enjoyable. We can't wait to come back. The management company was very responsive and friendly whenever we had a question, their customer service was on point. We've already shared this listing link with our friends and recommend you book it, too!
