The location of the property was very nice due to the view. However, it does not offer the hot tubs and/or pools that all of the other properties do. The room is pretty basic, and the bathroom needs definitely some work in the shower so the water does not end all over the place. The charm is the view, other than that nothing special.
Santorini is one of the few places that looks better in real life than the pictures. But we went in the off season and our host Miss Mary saved our trip she booled the flying dress photo shoot and our catamarran. Plus all transportation, Bottle of wine and the experience of living in a cave suite unique. Miss Mary you are the best
Beautiful cave house in Oia. It is towards the bottom of the village at the end of a trail, so expect steep walks every time you go anywhere, but it also means it is fairly quiet compared to higher bits. Nice design, perfectly clean, nice little patio with pretty view. Note that unlike some other houses, this one has no hot tub. As all cave houses, there are no internal doors except with bathroom, so it is great for 2 people but 4 people would effectively have no privacy. Bottle of wine and bread sticks are a nice treat, small kitchen (small fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, toaster, coffee machine, kettle) not really for cooking but good enough to self-cater with salads etc to be bought in the many small markets around the village. It is not a hotel, so it is a lot friendlier in ways, but downside is that there is no real option to leave your stuff anywhere if your flight arrives earlier than the 3pm check in or leaves later than the 11am checkout. Not cheap, but very pleasant place
The cave is one of the ones furthest away meaning there are a lot of stairs to climb so you do not venture away from it unplanned. This also means that it is one of the most private cave villa's in the city which we really appreciated.
The seaview is great but it will probably never offer a sunset view during peak-season.
The porter helps you with the bags up and down the stairs so this is not a problem.
Good internet connection in the main areas of the cave.
The little plot you do have access to has no proper fencing preventing small kids from running off the cliff. This is probably not a problem for most visitors but it was to us. :-)
The cave has a lot of character and was comfortable. The kitchen just has the basic amenities (ex. no stove) so you will need to visit restaurants every day, but it is great for snacks, breakfasts, wine/drinks etc.
We would like to stay here again.
The only thing to dislike was the weird paint-like smell in the kitchen/bathroom area, but overall, we had a decent stay and got our money worth for the view that we were hoping to get
