Step into a little slice of 30A history at Butterfly Bluff, a reliable family retreat above the white sandy dunes of Seagrove Beach, constructed well before Seaside was born nearby. Here, Old Florida is paired with all the modern conveniences you would expect. Walk just 350 yards to the Seaside Town Center and just 100 feet to the public beach access. Six bikes are provided for your convenience and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day of fun in the sun. You will love spending your evenings on the gulf front patio, cooking up your catch of the day on the gas grill, and enjoying spectacular sunsets. Windows that span the length of the home welcome you as you enter the main house, so there are breathtaking gulf views from every angle. There are plenty of cozy seating areas with those incredible views, two dining tables and a flat screen TV near the original (now decorative) fireplace. The unique waterfront dining table is original to the home and full of family memories. Other features of the main house include locally sourced cypress paneling, terrazzo floors, an upright piano and a framed puzzle with a romantic backstory. A convenient breezeway connects the two homes. The main house has a massive living/entertaining area, full kitchen and 3 bedrooms with ensuite baths for a total of 3.5 baths. The guest house has a private entrance and boasts its own living space and kitchenette along with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Butterfly Bluff provides a one-of-a-kind experience. Seaside is a fantastic destination in walking distance and is most widely known for being featured in the Truman Show with Jim Carrey. Its incredible architecture has helped to make it famous but also its faithful replication of the kind of seaside town that used to be common up and down the coast. Seaside has its own Farmer's Market, post office, Repertory Theater and neighborhood school. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine and the incredible architecture that makes Seaside famous, There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.

The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

4 Out of 10. The beach is privately held and you are not allowed to use personal chairs or tents, you must rent them. Furniture is overdue for replacement. A live electrical outlet had exposed metal from a broken appliance plug. There was a chair placed in front of it to "protect" children from touching it. No compensation by management was made after asking for it.

Very good; very bad

Very Good: this is an older but updated house that worked perfectly for our family, mostly because it's right on the beach one house from an access point. Very Bad: all 16 of us arrived at the scheduled time but we couldn't move in because it HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. RealJoy scrambled to find people to do a quick, partial clean but we had to mingle around outside for a few hours before unloading our cars. AND literally hundreds of rowdy teens gathered on the beach every night right in front of the house. VERY NOISY and VERY BIG MESS to clean up.

We all had a great time! The location was superb, bicyclesl were much used. Plenty of space. Furnishings were very dated, rug in living room very dirty. No way to get outside ventilation. Landscaping really needed to be cleaned up. But it certainly served its purpose - was great for family time!

great, but - there are 3 locked doors and we received only 2 door codes. - ice dispenser broken and far too slow for 16 people. ice trays in second fridge would help. - renters should know there's no garbage pick-up on Mondays out of season. - light above DR table is out.

Great location, spacious home - Needs updating and a good cleaning

We arrived to Butterfly Bluff and immediately fell in love with the location. Perfectly located within a short 5 minute walk to downtown Seaside and only steps away from beach access. We were blown away by the beautiful view of the water when you first walk into the home! But we were also met with sand all over the floor and furniture, leftover food remnants on the living room floor, a plunger and toilet bowl brush left in the tub, and a dirty swimsuit hanging to dry. We also noticed that all of our feet turned black from walking around the house, making it clear the floors had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. We didn’t expect perfection from a rental but certainly we’re not pleased with the level of cleanliness, especially for the extremely high cleaning fee, which was several hundred dollars higher than other homes in the area. We reached out to management and they said they would send someone over but they didn’t arrive until the next day, after we already cleaned ourselves. Overall, we loved the location, space, and views that the house provided but would likely find another home in the future.

Butterfly Bluff

Excellent location was the best selling point other than the price to rent. Property is very dated, but was clean (besides windows) and had needed amenities. Master bedroom was missing the mattress sheet, but was corrected the next day after notification. Very easy check in and out process and was available and handled the sheet issue promptly. No other concerns or issues.

Such a Gem !!!

We had such an amazing time at your property !! It is so convenient to the center of Seaside and has a beach access right next door. You can’t get any better than this staring out at the ocean from your back patio and living room. The house is so comfortable and has everything one could need. Would definitely stay there again. Best of the best location

Location was easy walking distance from seaside and beach location was away from the Condos toward Seagrove which means less people on beach in front of the house. The house had great views which never got old. The house is mostly untouched since the 60s when it was built with cool floors and walls and retro furniture. It is not super fancy but we really enjoyed the home and the kids enjoyed having their house in the annex. Again just a great location. We have been to this area several times and we liked this location.
