Enjoyable Overall

Our stay at this house was enjoyable overall, especially for a large group like ours, consisting of 16 women. The home provided ample space, the pool was fantastic, and the proximity to the beach was a definite highlight. However, there were some issues that detracted from our experience. The main house freezer had trouble closing properly, the kitchen drawers were dirty and messy, and in the carriage house, only one person could shower at a time; otherwise, the water wouldn’t stay hot. Additionally, the carriage house had an unpleasant odor that lingered, necessitating multiple washes of our clothes after returning home. The shower in the king bedroom of the carriage house leaked significantly, causing a large puddle around the toilet. Upon arrival, we also noticed that the bathrooms in the carriage house didn’t appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. To their credit, the management was responsive and addressed the issues quickly when we reached out. They were also very accommodating of our special requests. However, we were disappointed that these problems existed in the first place, especially considering the premium price of the rental. The location of the house is somewhat isolated, so having a car is essential unless you plan to stay around the pool or beach. I do recommend staying here, but I hope management can address the odor issue and do a fine-comb inspection of the home to ensure it is in top notch shape for future visitors.

Great family reunion in Dune Allen!

Lovely property, allowed each couple/family space and privacy and the pool was a wonderful place to hang out even in January! The property managers were responsive to our questions and accessible when a fan needed a quick repair. Proximity to the road made the front area a no-go for our youngest guests (the under 5 crew) but the backyard was lovely, as was our week on 30A!

Good vacation

House could have been cleaner, especially dusting and floors. Cable box broken and had no tv in main room of house and carriage house until the next day. Cable company could not come out so person from management team came out and fixed it so we could at least get basic cable for the week. No basic kitchen supplies in the carriage house and no trash bags in the cans. Although check in was 5:00, we wete told they would call if cleaning crew finished earlier. We arrived at 4:00 and found no one at the house. We called the management company and was told that an inspector had to come by and sign off before they would send the code. We waited at the house and no one ever came. We finally received our code at 5:15
..so basically we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for nothing. After waiting to get the code, upon entry we found that all the doors were unlocked at the back of the house and the carriage house was unlocked as well. We had to have a locksmith fix the lock in the carriage house as we couldn’t lock up the first night. All in all, it was a mice vacation but I didn’t appreciate being told we had to wait on an inspection when there obviously was not one and then to receive our code 15 minutes late. I also think being held responsible for items in a rental when the house was open when we arrived is not fair to the customer.

Great house for a lot of adults

Plenty of room and bathrooms to accommodate our group of 18. A place this large needs more than one main fridge. We planned on having drinks in coolers but had to shop every other day on vacation because there was not enough fridge space even using the carriage house fridge for carry over food. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was very nice. The cleaning company could do a better job vacuuming/sweeping and wiping the tables. There was sand all over the steps and on coffee table when we arrived. Also for crumbs from food on carpets that we did not bring.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. The place is just as wonderful as it looks and such a great value compared to other places in the area. Really can’t think of anything bad to say about it. Would reserve again if I’m ever in the area.

Great stay clean property

Great property plenty of space for all ages. Close walk to beach. Clean space. Highly recommend for families. Only suggestion is to attach the ladders for bunk beds, potential hazard for little kids climbing up to top bunk and ladder is not attached.

Beautiful property

It’s such a blessed that our family able to get together during COVID time. This property gave our family all the required amenities. Waking distance to the beach, pool with a grill in the backyard and beautiful decor, upscale kitchen equipped such as pots, pans, and utensil.. This property also has two kitchens for our large family. The only inconvenience is the access one house to the other. Suggestions to have a open gateway to access the other house. Royal destinations management response in the time matters with all request. Overall, love the property and location. Will come again!
