The condo was perfect for the two of us. It was more of a studio since there wasn't a "Bedroom" but the bed was in a separate area surrounded by 3 walls which gave some quiet and privacy if someone wanted watch TV in the living space. The balcony was my favorite spot. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Would stay here again!

New Bed

The bed was Terrible. They tried to nurse it along with a mattress topper. Bad idea. They Need a new bed, couch and chair. They are all beat down... Nice place though. We've rented in Gulf Place many times.. Owners should Never skimp on the Bed and Bedding... That is why i'm there.. To Sleep.

Great Vacation Rental

We would rent this condo again in a heart beat. Great location, the room was perfect for two people, and the balcony was huge. We were walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars, shops, and a coffee shop. The room was clean and neat when we arrived. The only issue we had was the bike rental through Paradise Properties. Paid a decent amount of money for very low quality bicycles. Overall, great place to spend a vacation.

Relaxing Trip

Nice location! Perfect size for our family of 3. Enjoyed sitting on the large balcony and people watching. Close to coffee shop- delicious coffee and breakfast! And close to a handful of restaurants too. Did get a little warm in condo but used provided fan to help with that. No assigned parking spot but for the most part we didn’t have trouble finding parking. Beach access is across the street and had to use public access and not the private access for Gulf Place. The private access was under renovation, we didn’t know that but public access was thankfully close. We would return if in the area!

I am familiar with 30A and this area. Exactly why I choose this location. Property is very clean and great location. Perfect for a couples getaway and walking barefoot to the beach. Overall the apartment/condo was great for a couple. The location was excellent in terms of walking to the beach and several restaurants. Only complaint was it could have used some curtains because the morning sun came in directly and was very bright early in the morning. Other than that, no issues.

Perfect Location!

We stay at Gulf Place twice a year and this was our favorite unit so far. The ocean view is beautiful and we love the coffee shop downstairs and being close to so many wonderful local places. We had no issues with the property except that the ac unit is only in the living room, so it doesn’t transfer to the bedroom and bathroom well at all. It became very hot so we ended up using three fans during our stay (they provide two and we brought one). Other than that, everything was perfect.

Only one issue.

We liked everything about the property, with the exception of the bedding. The fitted sheet would not stay on the mattress, while we slept. We ended up having to put the fitted sheet back on the bed everyday. In addition, the mattress fit so tight to the bed frame, that getting the fitted sheet back on was a real pain.

Golden on 30A was fabulous!

The property - Golden on 30A - was perfect! Close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Shunk Gulley - bar/restaurant - right next door. Very clean - had all the essentials, with the exception of no salt and pepper in the shakers and no linens for the pull out sofa. Other than that, it was perfect! Games, patio and decor was fab. King bed so comfortable! Better than any high end hotel! A bit noisy in the AM, as it's on County Hwy, but didn't bother me. Just caution for others!

Coommunications...email only???

I previously stayed at Gulf Place in 2013 for 3 months. I checked in and communicated with the on property office...located below the pizza restaurant. It was a lovely and totally enjoyable 3 months. This time my first question on check in day was when I called to ask if there was a code needed to get it? The response to my question was I emailed that info to you. Well guess what...I am driving to Santa Rosa Beach...I do not have access to my email!!! It took several calls before I could actually get the code a few minutes before 4 PM on Tuesday, September 6. Once inside the condo I naturally needed the password to access anything requiring WIFI on my cell phone. I was told the password was on the modem. It was not on the modem hanging (tacky looking) from the TV in the den. A couple of days later I saw a second modem behind a closet curtain in the bedroom...I didn't see the password listed there either. After several phone calls with me begging for the password, I was given the PW! When I needed a passcode to get to the pool, I went through the same deal of having to call the VRBO phone number again...that code would not work, but the lady in the Gulf Place office was delighted to write down the correct code for me! Guess what...the laundry room had to have a code. Another phone call! Found a person blowing off the side walk that kindly showed me where the garbage was to be taken...a room in another building! I ran into several other guest with bags of garbage looking for the "garbage" place! There were 5 pages of instructions in the condo telling me how to work the television!!! 5 pages! One page telling me NOT to leave garbage in the condo, leave NO food in the fridge etc etc....every word on that document was the same as every other condo I've stayed in since buying a TimeShare in 1995...all common sense! Ya think ya could add ONE MORE PAGE OF INSTRUCTIOINS/INFO with the WIFI password, the Pool Gate Code, the Laundry Room Code and instructions telling me to take the garbage to the building next door! I take hanging clothes on vacation...well I just stayed in the first condo without a closet to hang my clothes in...don't call what is behind the blue curtain a clothes closet...it is full of "other" stuff! The one bedroom unit I stayed in above SOHO had two units for heat and air...one in the den and one in the bedroom. With only one unit, the bathroom was always too hot! Geez, I'm at the end and can't continue...
