Grayton Beach is a laid-back, organic beach town with old-style wooden beach bungalows and narrow neighborhood streets lined with live oaks. You'll also get a âhippie kitschâ feel having the iconic Red Bar a stroll away. Take the neighborhood boardwalk to the beach or hop on the bikes and head 2.4 miles to explore Seaside. The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!
