The Region: (Costa Blanca, Alicante)
You will find Gran Alacant in the Costa Blanca region. The ‘White Coast’ as it is translated is distinguished by its’ great white sandy beaches and lively resorts, running along the coast from Denia way up in the north passing through Alicante and continuing south to Torrevieja and beyond
 Centrally located, it is an ideal place from which to explore the wide-ranging Valencian region. With Alicante as your closest city, other surrounding well known towns are Benidorm and Calpe to the north, and La Marina and Torrevieja to the south. The nearest local town to Gran Alacant is Santa Pola.

The Town:
Gran Alacant can offer you the best of both worlds. Those looking for a relaxing holiday lounging by the pool, a bit of tennis for exercise and a quiet meal in the near by restaurant are well catered for. There is however plenty to do for those looking for something a bit more active or fun. The excellent motorway network ensures that near by surrounding areas and attractions are not sorrowfully missed. There is so much to do! A nifty 40 minutes away by car (just outside of Benidorm) is Terra Mitica, a theme park to be enjoyed by both adults and kids alike. In Benidorm, nestling in one of its hills is the superb fun packed water park Aqualandia which is next to Mundomar the sea life centre.
Although nightlife in Gran Alacant is quite low key, it is by no means lifeless. Numerous bars and restaurants (and more on the way) constantly entertain those who are quite happy to enjoy good food and a great bottle of wine. And for variety you may want to try some ‘tapas’.

Great property and location

Richard was very communicative and helpful throughout the process from initial enquiry and through our stay. He proactively sent information through about the property and the location and this was really useful for us. The property itself is a lot larger than it looks from the photos. It was 32C to 36C during our stay and the air conditioning worked great in every room. The property was very clean throughout when we arrived. We were in group of 7 and everyone was very comfortable there. Location wise, it's a very short walk to the communal pool. The water was the perfect temperature and the kids enjoyed spending time in the pool on most days. It's also a short walk to some really great bars and restaurants. Our particular favourite was Atipico, a modern Tapas restaurant serving delicious food - but there are plenty of places to choose from. The beach is about a 10-15 walk away and it's a really nice long, sandy beach. You can always get the bus down the hill and back again if you don't fancy the walk. The bus stop is also close by for Alicante and Santa Pola so it really is a perfect spot. Overall, we had a fabulous time and I literally have no negative comments to make. Great host, property and location - thank you.

Gran Alacant is a vibrant town with a large selection of bars and restaurants all in walking distance. Our favorite was the Patagonia steak house in the square. Enjoyed the tourist train and the beach is a pleasure to visit daily.

We really enjoyed our stay. All the restaurants were close by and the children loved the local tourist train. The beach was clean and the house had all we needed. Donna and Martin the home managers were great

Delightful home. Friendly community. Next to the pool.

On our arrival we were met by Martin who showed us around the house and made sure we were settled in. Taxis were arranged from airport. The pool was closer than we thought so very convenient. The fridge had a cooling problem on arrival but was fixed next morning. We loved the BBQ on the roof.

Our stay in Gran Alacant was wonderful. The house on our arrival was clean and well maintained. Management in contact always for any of our needs. Sunshine on the rooftop throughout the day. Highly recommended.

Very happy with house. It had everything we needed. Regular contact from the owner and the manager was local if needed. Plenty of towels, beach stuff, UK TV channels , hi speed wifi. Home from home. Will be returning
