We had a very disappointing experience with this property. Before booking, I confirmed with the host that weâd be checking in around 2 AM due to a late flight. However, after booking, my multiple messages to the host through the Vrbo chat received no response.When we arrived at around 2 AM, we found no access pin in our email or chat historyâsomething that Vrbo customer support later confirmed as well. The main gate was open, but the actual entrance to the property was locked, and no combination or contact number worked. It was raining heavily, and my wife and I were left stranded in a quiet neighborhood with no response from the host despite repeated attempts to reach out.After contacting Vrbo customer support, they tried multiple times to reach the host without success and eventually escalated to their senior team. They canceled the stay and advised us to book another accommodation ourselves, assuring reimbursement. Unfortunately, at 3 AM and in such weather, it was extremely difficult to find available lodgingâmost places were sold out since the check-in date had already passed.After calling over 30 hotels, we finally found one available room at nearly three times the price. We checked in around 4 AM, exhausted and frustrated on what was supposed to be the first night of our anniversary trip to Puerto Rico.Iâm still in the process of resolving the reimbursement with Vrbo, but I do appreciate their senior support team for stepping in and assisting as best they could.
