Mandala vacation home in Rio Grande. Nestled on a cozy mountainside with a river within walking distance (Rio Espiritu Santo) this property offers breathtaking views that will fill your heart with joy.

It’s three bedrooms, one full bath and space for 10 guests, this house provides an opportunity to rejuvenate, relax, and reconnect in the magical setting of Puerto Rico. The open living space downstairs allows you to breathe in the fresh, magical air while enjoying views that will heal your soul
The space
The Mandela retreat house in Rio Grande. Nestled on a cozy mountainside with a river within walking distance (Rio Espiritu Santo) this property offers breathtaking views that will fill your heart with joy.

Featuring three bedrooms, one full bath, and space for 10 guests, the Mandela retreat house provides an opportunity to rejuvenate, relax, and reconnect in the magical setting of Puerto Rico. The open living space downstairs allows you to breathe in the fresh, magical air while enjoying views that will heal your soul.

This home has a full kitchen with all amenities, fully equipped .
The living room, dining room, kitchen, is an open space that creates a loving, cozy environment With doors that open to the wraparound deck, allowing natures fresh breeze to flow through the living space.
We have added Air-Conditioning in all the bedrooms to create a more comfortable sleeping environment.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed, and the two other bedrooms have two sets of bunkbeds in each bedroom, four beds in each of the two bedrooms . The bathroom is very spacious and create comfort.

There is also plenty of private parking Upon your arrival.

We will meet and greet you upon your arrival to give you a tour of the home and answer any questions you may have.
This property does not offer self- check-in as all of our properties in our portfolio offer the unique opportunity to meet and greet our guests.

This place was amazing! The views were incredible! We loved sitting outside and the hammock was a huge bonus! Owners were very nice and quick to answer texts. There was a super cute puppy that we enjoyed visiting with. I would absolutely recommend and will be staying again one day!

What a peaceful and relaxing place. The host meets you to go over everything and the view is amazing. My family loved the hammocks and the visiting local dogs.

Exceeded Expectations

My sisters are flight attendants so we travel and stay in homes frequently, this spot so far was everyone's favorite. This trip was for my 40th birthday and I wanted something special. I have a 3 yr old and 2 month old baby so also needed to accommodate the kids. My sister's kids are teens. The place was perfect for ages 0 to 45 year olds. Very comfortable with necessities, plus bonuses. View did not disappoint. The river was a 10 min walk and made the trip magical. Spots in the river where myself and the littles could relax and play and deeper areas that were exciting for the teens and adults. My family tends to be more on the adventurous side. The hosts were excellent and communicated with us as needed. It felt like family taking us in. I would absolutely return to this spot in the future. Thank you!

Great location for Forest Vibes

Great location it was amazing going to bed to rain sounds and animals around the house as well as the sights of the forest. The amenities were really nice, a/c included, had access to two fridges and a stove so we stopped at the grocery store and stocked up for our short stay. The biggest issues which are posted on the page are that there is only one restroom and it's an interesting/complex drive. With 6 people we managed the restroom well and had no issues. As for the drive, I would do the first drive in the daytime but after one time it really does get easy to do even at night. Host was nice and communicated well. All of the pictures are accurate to how the location is. 3 days in Puerto Rico-Day 1Old San Juan Trip-took all day taking in the sights, market, and Fort trail.La Placita de Santurce- Got some drinks, enjoyed some food and listened to live music-Day 2Yunque Forest-Hike up a couple of trails to rivers and waterfallsHorse Back Ride- Exiting the forest we did a 1hr horse back ride Loquillo Beach- Found some shade and had food and drinks at the beach to a sunset. -Day 3Ekelekua Breakfast Spot- Great Breakfast to start the dayCrash Boat Beach- 2hr 20min drive to other side of island great beach with plenty of food/drink options. Stopped at a local restaurant and got back in time to pack I would recommend taking the toll roads it shaves of quite a bit of time off. Great trip I would definitely recommend this location specially if looking for forest feel.

Relaxing Mountain Retreat

Our family had an amazing stay at this cozy cottage. The views were breathtaking and being surrounded by nature, sounds and sights, were the highlights. Our kids loved looking for geckos and having outdoor space to run and play, while mom and dad relaxed in the hammock! Be prepared to have to spend a little extra time on the road to get to the beaches, stores, restaurants, etc., but it was well worth it and definitely part of the adventure!

Our Getaway at Mandala Retreat House
