Poolside Penthouse on Natural Caribbean Beach

This property is available for a minimum 3 nights stay, and generally for no more than 20 nights at an affordable 18% discount. We, on occasion, may entertain a particular request to accommodate an extended stay; depending on whether the property is available, and is not reserved.

Our property is a family compound that serves as a meeting place for four generations of our growing family; where we relax, ground our lives, and enjoy the wonders of nature. We look forward to sharing our home with guests that love the ocean and sun; and love and respect our surrounding natural resources. We also enjoy sharing our home with people that hopefully want to get to know the people and culture of Puerto Rico.

This 3-story walk-up penthouse apartment is located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, with over 2,500 sq. ft. of space available for occupancy. Hosts keep separate personal space, which is not part of the footage made available to guests. The property is located on “Las Picuas” beach, a 5-minute drive to the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort (great golf, restaurants & Casino); a 16 minute drive to Pickleball Courts, and it's a 13-minute drive to "El Yunque" Tropical Rainforest.

The condominium complex is situated on a beautiful miles long natural beach; and the apartment is fully equipped with kitchenware and everyday basics to make you feel right at home. We also have gated direct access to “Las Picuas” beach, which is steps away from our apartment’s building unit. There are many excellent restaurants just minutes away (5-15 minutes); and, an array of available water sports and activities, including surfing, kayaking, and others. The property is a convenient 35-minute drive from the airport to the condominium complex on a modern open highway; and a 45-minute drive to the historic, 500-year-old, colonial city of San Juan.

Apartment Description: this two-level apartment is fully equipped to comfortably accommodate an entire family, or a group of friends meeting for a mutual vacation; bedroom and sleeping areas are equipped with ceiling fan and air conditioning; and offers complete privacy. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed; while the private family sleeping area comes with a queen size sofa bed, and an additional full-size futon. There is also ample closet space; and our numerous windows, and ventilation, offer plenty of natural light and fresh air.

The entry level living room area is equipped with 1,000 mmps (1k) internet access for streaming, a 55” smart TV, ROKU box and sound bar. On the second level family sleeping area, find internet access for streaming, 55" smart TV, Roku Box, a Blu-ray DVD player, and sound bar; also, find a kitchenette with sink and cabinet, microwave oven, and a convenient mini refrigerator.

There is also a large mezzanine family area overlooking the living and dining room below. The lower-level kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, utensils, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, blender, stove-oven, a refrigerator-freezer with filtered water and ice dispenser, and much more. Bags of cubed ice is available at the security guard station at a reasonable cost. Between both levels find two terraces, and several balconies overlooking our beautiful pool area, and backside green belt. There is an indoor dining area on the first level, and an outdoor dining area on the second level terrace.

We also have installed a 600-gallon water reserve tank, should it become necessary for continuous running water. We also have installed an EcoFlow Pro power battery for continuous refrigeration and power on the first level, living, dining, kitchen area, in the event of a power failure. Exclusive parking spaces are marked #13 and #14 and are available within the gated parking area. There are also available, limited, first come guest and accessible parking spaces. Ample parking is also available just outside the entry gate, on the side of the road. No other parking spaces may be occupied within the complex, as each parking space is privately owned.

Sit back and enjoy the weather in this very calm beachfront apartment complex. Enjoy the terraces and balconies, which also look to the "El Yunque” tropical rainforest on the right side, which has long been referred to as "the lungs of the Caribbean".

William was a fantastic host - very responsive and provided lots of information about the property, check-in, the surrounding area, and even took pictures of some of the items in the house upon request.The condo is very spacious and bright - high ceilings and lots of windows/doors with access to multiple patio spaces. The bedroom set-up upstairs worked well for us.Our only negatives about the condo: 1) there is only one full bathroom, which was not ideal for all 4 of us to shower at the end of the day; and 2) the blinds are not blackout, so it gets very bright when the sun comes up, which makes it hard to sleep in. The location is fantastic - the pool is just as pictured and we had it all to ourselves for most of the trip. The beach is right at the edge of the property with private access and is absolutely amazing!! We also had the beach mostly to ourselves and it has to be the best beach I've ever been to! It is a very short drive to the Wyndham Rio Mar where we went to dinner a couple of nights. The pool is well-maintained, the basketball court is usable if you have a good basketball (the hoop is not set at regulation height); the tennis courts are pretty run down - a lot of overgrowth, making them not very usable, and the rackets provided were not great. So we might have used the recreation areas more if we had our own equipment and the courts were better maintained.

Nice apartment! Bottom floor has kitchen, dinig room, living area, œ bathroom and 2 balconies. Top floor has bedrooms, full bathroom, indoor living area and ample outdoor terrace. All areas are equipped with A/C units, but there is such a nice breeze that we barely used them. William was a friendly host and very accomodating. Would stay again

Large space with a great host! Plenty of outdoor space and great pool area-also right on the water. Also “bonus “ space with tv which was great for our young kids at night.Only complaint is that the beds weren’t the most comfortable for adults. That being said I know there was a power surge that cause air conditioning in some rooms not to work so host was gracious enough to offer other rooms. Overall a great space and again-William (host) was so great about communicating with us throughout our trip! Our kids can’t wait to come back!

5 STARS all the way around!!

We had an incredible stay at this property! The condo was beautiful, spacious, and absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The pool was a great bonus, and being just steps from the beach made every day easy and relaxing. The golf course was only a quick 5-minute drive away, which was perfect for our group. The owner was fantastic with communication—super responsive and helpful throughout. We came down from Chicago to reconnect with my college teammates and their families, and it turned out to be one of the best Spring Break trips we’ve had. 5 stars all the way! Highly recommend!

This quiet condo property with a large central swimming pool is situated in a great location for travelers looking to drive to local attractions and nearby towns. A gate on the property leads to a nearly private beach that's great for beach walks and a dip in the waves.

This unit was perfect for our family of 5 with kids of varying ages. Beautiful beach access steps away and a nice pool area right out the front door. Enough space for everyone to have some privacy. Close to many attractive activities without the hustle of San Juan. William is a great host and communicated well throughout the stay.

Little spot located in Paradise

Overall the condo was nice and has everything you need. The location was excellent and communication with the host was exceptional. A miss on my part was assuming we had access to the whole condo. A portion is limited because this also serves as the host’s second home. The listing is 100% accurate, however we’ve stayed at Vereda de Mar several times in similar condos that proved access to a true master bedroom with additional bathroom. This was offset by a very nice build out of the patio that served as a family room and 3rd bed. It was a nice touch.

Beautiful and Spacious

This spacious condo was tucked away on the shore of Rio Grande close to the border with Loiza. The whole place was filled with natural light and each room had its own AC. Multiple terraces afforded beautiful views of the inland mountains. Direct access to the community pool and private beach at the end of the property for those days you’re just too tired to explore. Located mid-way on the south side of the island, 45 minutes west of San Juan, less than an hour from the ferry to Culebra or Vieques. I would highly recommend this place for families looking to get away from the bustle and traffic of the big city.

Wonderful place!

We loved the cleanliness, well-stocked home, and the location. We were 5 adults and 2 children and could easily fit in a few more with plenty of space. The home was stocked with lots of towels and essentials. It’s located in a safe community with access to tennis courts (rackets in closet), pool (beach chairs), and beach. Super close to El Yunque, Wyndham Rio Mar, outdoor sports at Carabalí Rainforest park. The landlords were very responsive and thoughtful. I told them it was our anniversary and we were welcome with a beautiful bottle of wine. We will totally book this place again when we return. Only minor inconvenience was lack of hot water the last few days. Likely due to a building issue since we saw maintenance working on the electrical panel of the building- landlord was super apologetic noting it hadn’t happened before. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Oceanfront gem just outside El Yunque

We loved staying in this condo! The apartment itself was clean, had a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and tv connections, comfy beds, and balconies everywhere. The grounds were well kept, there was a pool steps from our door, and the beach was a short walk away. Swimming is not advised at the beach, but we were happy to walk the sand and play in the surf. The location was perfect for adventures in El Yunque, and it was easy to get to both Fajardo and Old San Juan. With the help of an online restaurant search, and Williams’s document recommending local places, we easily found a nearby supermarket and a few restaurants for lunch or dinner. William checked in on us more than once during our stay, and he was quickly responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this condo, and would definitely come back!!
