The OB Overlook’s three-story layout is designed for privacy, inspiration, and connection.

Enter through the your private side-entrance or through the dedicated garage. After a short flight of stairs you'll be transported up to the second floor where you'll find two, large and beautifully appointed bedrooms each with its own private balcony.

The west-facing bedroom features wonderful ocean views and the soundtrack of distant waves. It has a king-sized bed, a sofa bed that converts to a queen, a 49" Sony HDTV, a dedicated workspace, and generous closet space.

The east-facing bedroom has a queen-bed, dedicated lounge chairs for relaxing, its own dedicated workspace, and a walk-in closet.

Good to Know
This home is a detached house located behind our primary residence. You'll have complete privacy, your own entrance, and exclusive access to the space and garage. The garage is on the first floor, two bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor, and the living room, dining room, kitchen and half-bath/powder room are on the third floor. Please note, the second garage is reserved for our use as we live in the front house.

Garage Parking:
We offer a private 2-car garage on the east side of the property, though only one smaller or midsize car is recommended due to the steep driveway entry. Larger SUVs or vans may not fit. The property is accessible through the garage or through its own private entry.

Quiet Time: We love and respect our neighbors. This is a peaceful retreat, not a party house. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am.

No A/C Needed: Thanks to expansive windows and coastal airflow, the home stays naturally cool even during warmer months. We also have oscillating fans for each bedroom in case you need a little extra to cool you off.

Radiant heat flooring: The house stays warm when its cool outside with radiant heat flooring so you or your feet never get cold and you stay nice and warm.

Gas Fireplace: The living room boasts a comfy fireplace that turns on with the flip of a switch for those evenings where you might want an added touch of warmth.

He had a wonderful stay at the OB overlook as a family of four. The house was very comfortable and clean and absolutely beautiful. It couldn’t have been more convenient in terms of location being a quick walk to town and the beach and an easy drive to all of the attractions we visited. Kristen and Tom respond quickly to all questions and were very helpful. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends!

We had a wonderful stay! Very clean property and tastefully decorated. Beautiful views from the wrap-around balcony, especially at sunset. Kristin & Tom, were excellent hosts throughout the stay. The conveniently provided folding chairs and umbrellas were an extra plus for us on our trips to the beach. Would love to stay here again - Highly recommend.

Loved this place! The views are unreal, the bed is super comfy, and the shower's on-demand hot water was perfect. I had to get some work done, and the private workspace plus fast Wi-Fi made calls easy. Really quiet and peaceful, so even with work it felt like a mini gateway. Short stay but couldn't have asked for a better spot!

The OB Overlook is an exceptional rental that truly exceeded my expectations. It's beautifully decorated yet comfortable—I felt at home the moment I arrived. While the bedrooms may not have been the reason I visited, they were a peaceful place to unwind from my adventures.Cooking in the kitchen was made super easy with a solid selection of pots, pans, and utensils. My caffeine needs were also met with the super nice coffee maker.The highlight of this home is undoubtedly the stunning ocean views. The sunsets overlooking Ocean Beach and the water were so spectacular, they were every bit as good as going to Sunset Cliffs. In terms of location, you get a sense of peace and quiet being nestled in the neighborhood, yet it’s an easy 15-minute walk to the beach and Ocean Beach’s main street. With plenty of parking, I was able to explore not just the coast but also go on inland excursions without worry.The host provided great communication, making for a smooth arrival and a seamless stay. This home is excellent value for the area and would be perfect for groups or families. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Fabulous month-long stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Gorgeous balcony for watching the sunset, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, has everything you need in the house! I stayed there with my adult daughter who also enjoyed it very much. The hosts were very responsive and full of great recommendations of local things to do, restaurants etc. Highly recommend!!

Summer trip

We stayed at the OB Overlook for a few days just before school started. The property was lovely, very clean, and spacious enough for our family of 5. We enjoyed the balcony outdoor space and the beautiful view. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, and pans needed to make a few meals. The beach is several blocks away, so we drove a few times, but also walked once and it only took about 15 minutes. We would definitely return to this beautiful home!

Fantastic Property

The home is well represented by the listing. This is a great, clean property with respectful and honest owners. The location is perfect in Ocean Beach. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting. There was plenty of room for our family of four along with the family we have in the area that visited. Everything including the bedding is new and comfortable. Tom and Kristin were the perfect amount of communication combined with leave you to yourself to enjoy your time. I think we were the first family to stay here after the hosts got back into listing again with VRBO. We are happy to have that honor... I'd gladly stay here again on any trip to the area.
