POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES

‱ Guest Requirements | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30 (exceptions made for multigenerational families).
‱ Occupancy | Maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (i.e. includes both overnight guests & non-overnight visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
‱ Noise | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.

We didn't get to stay there. We were notified in advance that there was damage to the house and repair would not be done in time. We had to take another rental without ocean view. It was ok but hardly the vacation we hoped for. We went past the original choice and there were people staying there....?????? Not cool.

Clean with a great location overlooking the ocean/nice beach within walking distance (0.5 miles) to restaurants. Very open living room/dining room area, however, a bit outdated with a small balcony and small second bathroom. Very easy check-in process and excellent communications with the property manager.

Perfect Getaway

Surf Style Vacation Homes provided stellar service throughout our stay. Listing was perfect - second story on the beach - plenty of space for our family (spouse and 3 adult children) - great location with a quiet beach placed perfectly between the pier and Belmont Park.

This home was absolutely perfect for us. We had three teens with us. Plenty to do, great area, beautiful view and awesome house. It was clean and bright and the owners communicated very well to us. The check in and out process was very smooth. The proximity to the zoo, La Jolla, and other great landmarks/location was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much!

Just right for our family of 6

Ages 50 to 9 enjoyed this property. It was clean, had newer flooring, and everything we needed. The view was just as pictured. The balcony is small, but it worked. We loved the large wall of windows - beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed meals at the large table (leaves are provided if needed too). Everything was thought of - there were plenty of hooks throughout for towels, extra towels, extra sheets, a fresh unopened scrubber for the sink, windex, paper towels, TP, shampoo/conditioner and body wash, hangers in the closets, and all needed items for cooking (even toddler/baby silverware was there). There was also some basic items like salt, pepper, cooking oil, plastic wrap etc (I believe these were from past guests, but we appreciated them). This property is close to everything. We walked to Belmont park. It was a short drive to Ralphs grocery store. The garage is tight - be careful what type of car you bring. Laundry is in garage and shared with the downstairs unit. The only drawback was that the largest bed (King) was not attached to a bathroom. My husband and I chose a room with a queen bed that attached to a bathroom so that we could have our own. Also, the bathroom attached to the queen bedroom was pretty dated and very tiny. I am 5ft 1 and the shower head barely got me! It was not an issue overall though. The other bathroom was updated and very well sized. Tons of closet space and drawer space if you want to get settled too.

Great location but needs upkeep.

The location is excellent. You can walk to Belmont Park and quickly to the main drag for restaurants, bars and small shops. Steps from the ocean and boardwalk. The second level view was fantastic with the full front wall of windows. I have to give this property an overall rating of a three due to the cleanliness, or should I say "lack of" and lack of basic up keep. I am not on over the top clean freak but when dirt/ crud is visible, there is a problem. It appears that the cleaning agency changed sheets and towels and nothing more. Dishes, silverware and pot holders had food on them. Counter tops and dining table were visibly dirty. The paper towel/ Clorox wipes that I used to clean these surfaces confirmed how dirty they were. The kitchen cabinet doors were dirty. The family room rug had in-ground "food", and the dining table chairs, balcony cushions, bed spreads were "stained". The large front window had so many hand prints/smears that we had to wash them to see out. Part of the charm is that the building appeared to be from the 60/70s. A coat of paint, fixing cabinet doors that won't shut, replacing worn bath towels and a GOOD cleaning crew would do this property justice. Basic up keep is important. With a little help maybe it some day can be a 5 Star!

Great Place!

The place was not quite as pristine as the photos show but it was plenty nice enough for a stay where you are constantly coming and going to the beach which by the way is exactly the way the photos show it. Gorgeous views! Amazing Sunsets! The kitchen had plenty of dishware and silverware but the pots and pans were minimal and well worn. Also there was no kettle for making hot water - there was an electric pitcher but the base to heat it up was missing. The bedrooms were roomy (especially the master) and the beds were very firm - just the way we like them. The living room furniture was very comfortable although the electronic equipment could use some written instructions for what to do with the 5 or 6 remotes. Eventually we figured it out but only because we are well-versed with that kind of thing. The garage is tight but easily fit my Nissan Rogue. There were plenty of boogie boards and beach chairs and one beach umbrella. The location is fantastic for access to everything including downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, SeaWorld, and La Jolla. Overall a very nice place for a vacation at the beach and we would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. The views were amazing with those big ocean facing windows. Be aware the garage is a shared space with a shared washer/dryer so hopefully your downstairs neighbors are cool; ours were. The place has new decor and fresh paint and nicely updated furnishings and bedding. The cabinets are all original with new paint, and the fridge is kinda old. So if you’re expecting a full on 100% luxury upgrade this isn’t that. But what they did with the place was very nice. Oh and the main living area is HUGE. Lots of room to spread out. We’d stay again.
