You’ll have the house to yourself.

This rustic Studio Bungalow is nestled among tropical plants behind a high fence with 2 other cottages. The feeling of privacy is so special right here in the heart of Ocean Beach.

Ocean Beach Bungalow is situated just minutes from Newport Avenue with all the eclectic shops, antique stores and incredible restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet, family residential and you can walk just half a block to the end of the street for amazing ocean views from the Cliffs.

The space
Just one block over is the path around the cliffs where you can stroll to town or to the beach – it just couldn't be more fun for all the family.

Enjoy our Beach Cruises for Biking into town or just seeing the sights.

The Ocean Beach Bungalow features a brand new Tempurpedic Mattress on a Queen Size bed with 52-in Flat Screen TV, satellite, lots of closet space and crisp clean linens provided.

Our Kitchenette provides a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and all the cooking utensils you need. There is a electric skillet and toaster oven available for your use as well if needed.

Outside is the covered patio where there is a gas grill with side burner.

After dinner relax in the jacuzzi found just outside your door. The jacuzzi is shared with the OB Tropics Cottage & the Ocean Palms Cottage.

We are pet friendly but it is important to remember that the yard is shared and so your dog may not run free in the yard without supervision at all times.
Pet Fee: $40/Night

Tire your pet out with a visit to dog beach just a few minute drive down the street.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

No Smoking is allowed inside any of our properties. You are welcome to smoke in outside areas of the home.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced.

For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes unattended. If you plan to spend time away from your pet please find a doggy daycare. You can call our office for recommendations.

There will be a $40/night pet fee for any pets

Ocean Beach lies in the San Diego International Airport flight path for some departing flights. No planes can depart after 11:30 pm or before 6:30 am.

Perfect rental in a great location!

This rental is the perfect place to stay in Ocean Beach. Just a few blocks from excellent restaurants and the beach. Very bikable community - we biked down to Cabrillo National Monument and even over to Sea World (saved $32+ for parking)! The rental itself was just right for two people. I wasn't sure what it would be like to not have a couch, but the bed has all kinds of options to basically turn it into a comfy recliner. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Ocean Beach!

The courtyard was the best part of our stay. I had booked the bungalow which was a functional space for a couple. However, what really enriched/enhanced our visit was the courtyard. We had access to a Weber mini-BBQ, hot tub, outdoor table/umbrella, deck chairs and the laundry room which was massive and stocked with extra towels, kitchen utensils, laundry pods for the washing machine, and other paraphernalia one would expect to find in an ocean cottage setting. Rick and the cleaning staff took pride in the appearance of the yard. Rick was often on-siter cleaning the hot tub and sweeping the courtyard, as was the cleaning lady. She would sweep the courtyard before turning over the properties as they would become vacant. One caveat: the description for the bungalow stated that there was on-street parking, I mistook that to mean ample, available parking. If you are renting or driving a car, it would be worth upgrading your booking to the 1BR or 2BR property. With either booking, a parking spot is included. In Ocean Beach; finding an available parking spot is as rare as hen's teeth. We often ended up parking down the street corner of Sunset Cliffs and Del Mar. Otherwise, we will definitely return, but would book the 1BR cottage in order to secure parking. Additionally, this property has its own in-house laundry as well as its own BBQ, outdoor table/sun umbrella and deck chairs in the front. The entire property is very dog-friendly, and even has a dog washing area!

OB Bungalow

It’s really a nice quiet place for the money. The floor tiles would appreciate a touch work or replacement both in the living area and in the bathroom. Other than that this place is gorgeous. The landscaping is beautiful, the little kitchenette is very functional. They are beach bikes if you would rather ride around town. Beach can be accessed by a short walk. They are sufficient restaurants within a walking distance. Sadly there’s a lot of homeless people everywhere but they don’t bother anyone. This is the best deal for the money. Oh, the check in and check out process all electronic. You are given a code to access the property and your bungalow and checking out is simple as locking the bungalow with your code by 11:00am.

Lovely getaway

Pleasant bungalow just as advertised. We enjoyed the hot tub and the courtyard. The bed was quite comfortable and we appreciated the adjustable bed for watching tv as well as the smart tv. It was quiet. The landscaping is gorgeous and really feels like you’re in a little resort. The location was ideal for amenities and transit. The sea cliffs trail is gorgeous and a few blocks away.

wonderful OB gem

loved our stay! The place is small but extremely space efficient. Bed is SUPER comfortable and the grounds are so nice! Enjoyed the hot tub most nights. would definitely stay again!

Great Stay!

Beautiful property, very clean, the hot tub was awesome! When we arrived we had trouble getting into our place, I called for help at 10 pm and my call was answered right away. He fixed the lock on his phone right away. We also forgot clothes there and he mailed them back to us! Great stay would highly recommend!

Cute place and great location

This is a very cozy bungalow in a great location near Ocean Beach. The grounds were very pretty, very lush with really cool plants! It was fun walking through it everyday. This place is tucked in the back by the hot tub and there is a lot of privacy. The place itself was nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable and now we want an adjustable bed! It’s small but it was fine for my boyfriend and I and our dog. I was on a knee scooter at the time of our stay and it was very scooter friendly too! We walked/scooted all over to many great bars and restaurants within a half mile (10 min walk). Michael as a great host and always got back to me right away! We will stay again next time we’re in OB!

Peaceful Getaway for Two

We really enjoyed this studio sized getaway. It was the perfect size for two people to relax and enjoy the beauty of San Diego. The walk way from the gate to the bungalow was surrounded by an abundance of beautiful plants and was peaceful and quiet for our getaway. The studio was clean upon entry and had plenty of towels as well as a bathrobe for each of us. Any questions or concerns were answered quickly by Michael or Rick. I would be happy to stay here again during my next visit to San Diego!

Actually it was not Jim that stayed. His wife. Me, Linda was in San Diego for a celebration of life. All the events and other attendees places were within walking distance. Food, drinks, shopping all within walking distance. I am 76 and that was an added bonus for me.

Great spot for a quick weekend stay

My husband I flew in for a quick weekend visit with our daughter in college. We’ve been staying in Ocean Beach for decades and are always looking for good places to stay. This was a great value for a weekend trip! The location is great right by the cliffs and a walk to the town and beach. I loved the access to bikes and wish I would have had the chance to use one. We also didn’t have a chance to enjoy the hot tub. The outdoor area is so adorable! I appreciated the beach chairs and towels that were provided in the laundry room to borrow. One drawback that would probably prevent us from staying again was how difficult it was to find street parking if you are staying out late. We spent almost an hour trying to find a spot on a Friday night. The pillows in our room were flat and hard. New pillows would be a game changer and an easy fix for a more comfortable stay. Check in was super easy and the waters and snacks provided were a nice touch! Thank you!
