"Medallion" Modern City Estate 7bed/5bath AC + VIEW

"The Medallion" is a professionally remodeled and designed 7bedroom/5bath spacious hillside estate that sits on a hill with picturesque sunset views. The property is on half an acre large lot with several outdoor living spaces to unwind and relax. "The Medallion" has a total of 14 beds/mattresses and can sleep up to 20 people comfortably in bedrooms and then 4-5 more in the common area on couches if you desire. However, our max occupancy is 20 people unless approved by the host prior to booking. Feel free to message us and give us some details about your party and how many guests you would like to have and we can review for approval.

This is an ideal place to come together or enjoy your own space with 3 living rooms, several outdoor patios, a large balcony, and a deck. In addition, there's a large outdoor enclosed game room with a pool table, ping pong, and foosball. There's a variety in types of bedrooms including: two large master suites with private bathrooms, three cozy single or couples rooms- two of which have a built in-room vanity for getting ready, two bunk rooms with 4 bunk beds in each. The house meets the needs of every kind. There is also ample parking in the driveway for over 10 cars. The kitchen has views to the yard with a lawn and deck. The main room is an open concept with the kitchen adjacent to the large dining table that sits right next to he fireplace and living room. With vaulted wood ceilings the dining room and living room are open and bright with ample natural light. French doors open up from the living room to a viewing balcony to relax and soak up some of the best weather and views in all of San Diego!!

The vaulted ceilings and multiple windows invite natural light to brighten the space. To ensure your comfort the home has heat and AC with all brand new double pane windows . The kitchen has a coffee pot, full size 4 burner gas stove, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher and frig. There are 3 flat screen tvs with smart features in each living room. A hose is located on the front patio so you can rinse off your sandy toes after a beach day.

The property is maintained and the interior is professionally cleaned and checked before each guest. The max occupancy of 20 guests will be enforced, unless approved prior to booking. Just ask typically not a problem!!

ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES, LOUD MUSIC OR LOUD NOISES. We have two security cameras on the exterior of the property. One at the front Door and one at the front gate. We live close and are in contact with the neighbors often if there is any issues. We do have very sensitive neighbor's that enjoy the special peacefulness of this area that will complain and you can be in violation of your contract (as its specifically written here). If this happens you may be asked to leave with no refund. Typically Never a problem and not something we want to happen as we built the house for large groups to love and enjoy!! should not be a issue as long as the rules are followed but we occasionally in the many years of renting have unfortunately had guests that think they can get away with it and we have to enforce the rules.

This is a NON-smoking property. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property especially inside the house. If there is any scent of smoke you will be fined 1500.

***Pets are allowed but must be disclosed prior to booking including how many pets, the size etc. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and guests will be fined if there is hair or pet smell on the furniture. At no time are pets allowed unattended or alone in the house or on the property.

Guests have entire property with exception of the garage as it’s currently being used for storage.

backyard, game room, and deck is restricted from 9pm-9am to adhere to SD City noise ordinances and host quiet hr for the neighborhood

Other things to note house is well used and loved by many! You will see scuffs on the walls dents and cracks.. chips or scratches in the paint or cabinets.. signs of wear and fading on furniture
 house is built in the 1960s but has been updated.. but still has some original features kitchen cabinets and countertops and appliances etc
 house is on a large 1/5 acre lot and as with all house but especially those with property
occasional bugs, ants, and spiders may find there way inside or around the property
 we always do our best but at the end of the day it’s mother nature and out of our control to 100% eradicate them so know its possible and likely you may see a few
 if anything is broken we’ll be happy to fix it right away just let us know! You are assuming renting with this understanding.
-Just as its our goal to provide an impeccable 5 star experience to all our guests, we expect the same respect to be shown to our neighbors during your stay.
-Please be cautious of your behavior throughout your stay toward our neighbors especially relating to noise, trash and parking in the vicinity of the property.

The Medallion was a great choice for our 12-person extended family gathering. The photos properly portrayed the residence. The many rooms, outside areas, and covered porch/gameroom gave the 6 teenagers lots of options for creative and active play in small and large groups, as well as private spaces for individual respite and rest. We were able to fit everyone around the large dining table for group meals and games. The space was very clean and well-equipped. The water pressure and temperature in the showers was completely fine for our large group. Beds were very comfortable and provided lots of flexibility in room/bed assignments. The large windows and high ceilings increased our sense of comfort. The host was delightful and very responsive to our questions and requests.

Check in time is 5pm but owner offered us 4pm because the washing machine was broken. We have a large family including a baby and we needed the washer. Outside amenities are only usable until 9pm. The owner remotely shuts off outside lights at 9pm because of a beef with the neighbor. Had to do some cleaning upon checking in, hand rail on the stairs was filthy. There was 1 bath towel per person, but no extras. I could go on, but on a positive note, this house did accommodate our family of 17 people.

The property was as advertised, enough sleeping spaces for 14. Eric & Paula are very attentive and good hosts, got attention to anything we found quickly, like clogged drain. Hopefully the washer is working now. They arranged for mid week cleaning at our cost. Only thing would have been better if they paid attention to readiness of the home before we walked in. Like clogged drain, outdoor areas not swept, webs on outdoor furniture. We cleaned these and could enjoy. Will we stay again-YES.

Youth conference

All that it was made out to be. Eric was super helpful and the property was perfect. Only thing that was an issue was trash was full when we got there and didn’t get picked up for days. That is the city schedule not the property issue.

This home was great for our family vacation. The seven bedrooms and five bathrooms gave us plenty of space for ten adults and three small children. We enjoyed the large gathering spaces too. The kitchen was nice and had great pantry space. We also enjoyed using some of the beach equipment on our trip to Coronado. The beds were comfortable and the home was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Checking in and out was easy and our host was responsive to every question we asked. We would stay here again!

Amazing place and even better hosts!

We stayed at this property with a group of 7 adults and the place was perfect. Plenty of room in the house, amazing yard, and plenty of parking when we brought a small trailer. The hosts were very helpful, prompt at replying and made sure we had everything we needed. Check in and check out were super easy. Would highly recommend this place and hosts!

Was a decent stay, but could have been better

The house was nice and the view was good but our group did have some issues with the house. Most were maintenance related that happen every now and then. The ac went out but the host provided fans and two portable ac units for temporary use. We did not have much issue with this as the weather was great and we just opened the doors and windows. The dishwasher would not drain but we opted to do dishes by hand as we had a big group. The washer also stopped draining towards the end of our stay and most people did not get to wash their clothes before the 2nd part of our trip in San Diego. The biggest issue we had with the house is that you could not use the patio area between 9pm and 9am. When I booked the house, it said quiet hours started at 11pm. So to have it changed after our booking was quite disappointing. We didn't get to use the patio as much as we wanted due to us being in the city during hours we could use it. We felt the hours were very restrictive, especially in the morning. If you are a group that has people stay up late like us, do not book this house. Overall, it was a decent experience. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is kind of small but we made it work. They do provide beach equipment and towels, which we found very helpful.

Plenty of room good space..

Our family had a great stay at this house the check in video was helpful. The host communication with us well, there was an issue with the AC which was not seen prior to booking but thankfully it was great san diego weather. There is plenty of space for a big group plenty of beds and bathrooms and we never felt over crowded. The only thing i would recommend is the out door furniture had tons of spider webs, and some of the screens were not on right to the window so we did run into some creepy crawlers, but nothing that was to big to handle, so maybe just a good check prior to guest coming. Lastly the bike rope on the outdoor fence was not my fave as if you have full hands you needed both hands to unlock and untangle. Overall we had a great time and loved the space. Thank you

Awesome place to stay! The house was huge with lots of rooms and bathrooms for my big family of 20! So thankful there are places like this that can accommodate big families within reasonable pricing! There were lots of amenities to keep us occupied and entertained! Will definitely be staying here when we visit San Diego again! Thanksgiving Stay

We rented this site for a family Thanksgiving celebration. Our group included 3 grown children and their families (13 in total). For us, adequate numbers of bathrooms and beds is critical. Medallion had plenty of those. Even if our group had been larger, the sinks in bedrooms would have been useful in taking pressure off bathrooms. Cooking was an integral part for us. Oven, stove and gas grill made that possible. The second fridge outside on the carport was a huge help. The butler's pantry provided much needed pantry storage. Need to bring own seasonings, etc., which we did. Pool table, darts, lawn games provided good entertainment. Agents were most cooperative in obtaining a crockpot before our arrival and bringing over a large pitcher on Thanksgiving morning. Washer and dryer were good. There were no noise issues. Overall, this served us very well.
