Allure Retreat

Luxury and relaxation await in this spacious and gorgeous 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, located in the heart of Hillcrest just 1 block from the world-renowned San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. Our luxurious home is completely remodeled, using all high-end finishes and everything is new! The spacious interior boasts 2 large bedrooms, one with an ensuite bath and the other with access to the beautiful hall bathroom with luxury finishes, both with patio access.

The Space:
Home features a 75-inch 4k Samsung QLED Smart TV with dedicated Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System.

- TV has Netflix, YouTube TV, HBO Max, Fubo, etc. It is also Airplay/Cast capable from your phone

The Neighborhood:
Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Getting Around:
Being in the heart of the city, Balboa Park and Hillcrest are accessible by a number of major streets. Additionally, Hillcrest is among the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with a neighborhood Walk Score of 87. Rideshare is easily accessible. Many Bird scooters and bikes nearby.

Host was great at communicating through out the stay. Few things was a miss for us, but they were minor.Floors was dirty upon arrival, AC units had a light that was blinking at night on and off which disrupted sleep. No garage parking while parking on the street was available it wasnt always convinent with 2 kids. Pros - bed was comfy, linens were nice and amenities was great. Big living room was also a hit with 2 young kids. Overall it was nice stay.

Great location, close to the Zoo and walking distance to several nice restaurants. The property was as pictured and is nicely furnished. Communication with Efrain was quick. However, the description of washer/dryer and "garage parking available" on the site is misleading and not accurate. There is no washer/dryer in the house. The washer/dryer is in a separate garage which is only accessible by entering into another person's yard. We only received the directions on how to access the garage after requesting it twice, and then we ended up being confronted by the other person and their dog while trying to get our laundry. It was a disconcerting experience. There is also no "garage parking" for this house. Parking is on the street, which can be iffy since parking is a commodity around the neighborhood. All in all, it was a good (but not fantastic) experience.

Very nice house. Beautiful! Every thing you need to get started was provided. Location is excellent even though I didn't take advantage of it's closeness to Balboa Park. Friendly neighbors next door. great house, great communication

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this property and found it had great amenities and a fantastic location to everything we wanted to access in San Diego. It was also kid safe with enough room for them to move around. The only tiny issues we had were that the floors were pretty dusty upon check in but it didn't impact our stay much.

Hillcrest Retreat

Allure Retreat was a great place to stay! It was everything that was advertised and more. The best location for what we wanted to do in San Diego! VERY clean and organized. Efrain was very responsive to all correspondence and I enjoyed working with him during our stay. Would stay at Allure Retreat again without second thought.

Location, location

This house is in a great neighborhood and location! Everything we went to was very close- baseball game, fc stadium, SeaWorld, uss Midway, the zoo including Balboa park. If you love to walk this is the place for you- Balboa park, grocery stores are in walking distance. And to top it off, the area is very dog friendly!

Nice stay

Location is good, walking distance to Balboa park. Recommend to walk to the Zoo, which is 15 minutes compared to 30 minutes of driving in traffic jams and parking during busy weekend hours. Apartment is nice, pretty modern. We had a good time. Thanks
