Villa Matteo is located in the hearth of Tuscany's Chianti region with expansive views over the olive groves, vineyards, woods and country estates. Spacious and private, this country house is only 2km from the nearest village with shops, restaurants and market, and 18km from Florence.

Villa Matteo is the ideal setting for a great holiday. The location is perfect: private, tranquil, hillside position just 15 minutes South of Florence, with easy access to the charming Chianti hill towns, 50 minutes from Siena and 1 hour from Lucca.

A typically rough dirt road (1,200 meters) brings you to the villa, through vineyards and olive groves. The building dates back approximately to one thousand years ago (Medieval period) and was completely restored in 2006. It was a small monastery and evolved into a country house some centuries later.

The fenced property consists in 10,000sqm and includes the house (530sqm), the fresh water swimming pool (15m x 7.5m, open from 30 April to 05 October) with Jacuzzi, a dependence (40sqm).

The lawn is bordered with roses bushes and olive trees. A stone patio with BBQ provides shadow for al fresco dining at a long table with comfortable chairs.
From here some steps take you to the pool; this area is furnished with sunbeds, tables and chairs with umbrellas.

Villa Matteo has beautiful terracotta tiles and beamed ceilings; it is 530sqm divided into two floors.

Ground floor: entrance hall, study room with double sofa-bed, dining area with table for 12 people, first small but well equipped kitchen, main fully equipped kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, washing machine), one double bedroom (5 steps) with bathroom with shower. This room is provided with air conditioning; the bed cannot be separated. Living room with double sofa bed. In this room there is Satellite TV, DVD player and CD player. One bathroom with shower.

Upper floor: spacious central living room with fireplace. One master bedroom (bed cannot be separated) with en suite bathroom (Jacuzzi tub), one twin/double bedroom with en suite bathroom (tub), two double bedrooms (beds cannot be separated) each with en suite bathroom (shower), one guest bathroom. The whole floor is air-conditioned.

Dependence: on the ground floor there is a cosy living room with single sofa bed with kitchenette and one bathroom with shower. One double bedroom upstairs. The Dependence is air conditioned.
