Summary:
The Tobin Hill Mansion was built in 1910 and completely remodeled in 2022 with a bed and breakfast in mind. The house boasts three floors tastefully decorated with 7 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable spaces to relax and enjoy each other's company. The living spaces were opened up to allow for entertaining and we added all of the modern amenities. Sleeps up to 14 guests! STR-22-13501317

The Space:
This is a four story home, three above ground and a basement! The first floor hosts the living area, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, and the third floor has two bedrooms, a small living room and a full bathroom. The basement has been converted into a private speakeasy, The Sideways Seven. The backyard has plenty of seating for the entire group, a fire pit, horseshoes, and corn hole.

Guest Access:
The entire property is yours to enjoy! From the incredible private speakeasy to the amazing backyard built for entertaining.

The Neighborhood:
Tobin Hill is one of the most desirable and unique neighborhoods surrounding downtown San Antonio. You can walk to many amazing restaurants and bars, coffee shops and retail stores. It is a safe neighborhood to walk in and you will likely meet some of the friendly neighbors. Additionally The Riverwalk and The Pearl are just a few minutes away if you would like to Uber or if you prefer to walk it is less than 20 minutes. If you like local restaurants check out Cullum's Atta Girl for fried chicken, wings, and beer. If you are looking for a fancy brunch try Nola or Cullum's Atta Boy. Extra Fine is our favorite local coffee shop and their breakfast sandwich is really good. Barbaro has great pizza, La Fonda on Main has flavorful Mexican food and these are just a few of the options all walking distance from the house!

Getting Around:
There are plenty of fun things to do within walking distance of the house, but if you are feeling more adventurous an Uber ride to The Pearl or The Riverwalk are only 5-6 minutes. You could also rent an electric scooter but please be careful!

The house in the pearl district The good: home is clean indoors; spaces were comfortably furnished; the “speakeasy” downstairs was a fun place to hangout. bad: outdoors was dirty and littered; kitchen not supplied with pots/pans for cooking large meals; No replacement or additional linens or towels/pillows if we needed them. The worst: we planned a reunion for 25 people to sleep in the home (AT ADVERTISED CAPACITY ) in the 7 advertised bedrooons.THEN we were contacted by the landlord 19 hours before check to find out that 14 is the maximum capacity. NOT 25 AS LISTED FOR 2 MONTHS OF PLANNING FOR THE TRIP. We had to find last minute hotel accommodations for 11 people in our group. we requested a discount proportionate to the number of people that had to change accommodation.the host said “we cannot control the city of San Antionio’s zoning, and cannot make a full or partial refund”.I reminded the host that we made the reservation based on their advertised number of sleeping spots. The host again said that they could not make any changes to our accommodation or payment.This is completely unacceptable. The house was advertised to sleep a certain number of people, and then the day before check-in. We found out that 40% of our party had to find a different accommodation with less than 24 hours notice. This host is not interested in honoring their commitments or welcoming reasonable guests to their home in San Antonio.

An all around nice place

The house had plenty of room and beds. It was nice to come back to and relax after a busy day of sightseeing. It was very close to the sights so there wasn’t much travel time. Communication was never a problem; fast response time.

Wonderful home in great location!

Our extended family really enjoyed this beautiful house and what a good location! Super clean, all updated bathrooms, and well stocked kitchen! Perfect for our family stay for 7 and could have held many more comfortably. Comfy beds, great appliances, and spacious backyard!

The Mansion

The house was overall beautiful and comfortable. The third floor was a little hot but had fans to makeup for it. The beds were a little low so it pretty much was for the kids but we made it work. Overall was nice and the bar was awesome! I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Amazing for small-team work offsite

The old mansion is really well renovated. We chose this place in order to organize a work offsite. The large living room, kitchen, outdoor backyard were really great for hosting this type of event. We were 10 coworkers for 7 bedrooms (therefore some had to share bedrooms) and it was perfect. We really didn't miss anything during our stay. The only negative point is that being 25 in the home as advertised would be tight in my opinion

Family getaway

This property is beautiful and the accommodations were great for our large family. The pictures really don’t do the actual home justice as it is so much better! The beds were extremely comfortable and the common areas were large enough for all of us to get together and have a great time. The location is conveniently located to several restaurants, bars and coffee shops. We would definitely book this home again!

Rented the house for the weekend for a bachelorette party. What a great location. We Uber’ed to our locations which weren’t too far from the house. House itself had so much room for everyone that came. Clean house and property manager was great with any and every question we had.

My daughter is a First Generation university graduate. Her family all came in from Houston. We had her graduation party there while everyone was here for the ceremony. The house was perfect and everyone loved the house. Plenty of room for everyone to crash and the Speakeasy was the best part of the night!! Daniel was quick to respond and so helpful! Thank you for this great experience and lovely place!!!
