Absolutely terrible! We did not even get to stay at the property. After booking, Ethan stated we would get a message 3 hours prior to arrival. Nothing from him, we had to reach out and he only provided the key code for entry. Showed up at the house- still dirty from previous guests. Dirty sheets on the bed, garbage all over, bathrooms absolutely disgusting with towels on the floor. Attempted to contact Ethan, sent pictures, no response. Contacted VRBO, they also could not get in contact with him. We were forced to get a hotel for the weekend. VRBO states we have to wait for the host’s approval to get our money back. Such a terrible experience. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS HOST OR THE PROPERTY. The backyard is nothing like the pictures. Absolutely speechless about this whole experience. So disappointed in the response from VRBO as well.

The host did NOT send check-out instructions. Was late sending check-in instructions, to include the code to the house. I asked questions that have still never been answered. Would not recommend this property. The shower curtain rod is not attached, hazardous. No bath mat. Have never had a host that was so non-responsive.

Wonderful place close to downtown / riverwalk. It’s a new place that is clean annd updated and feels brand new. Concrete floors downstairs. Wooden stairs to a carpeted upstairs. Washer dryer and 3 rooms upstairs. Master has queen single and a full bath. The other 2 rooms have a queen and share a full bath in the hallway. High end washer and dryer in the upstairs hallway as well. From the windows of the back bedrooms you can see the alamodrome. It’s a 20 to 25 min walk to the riverwalk. Parking is easy in front of the house and it also has rear parking in a small dive in the alley behind the property. The whole street and area is under new development. I remember being a kid 35 years ago
 and this area was not as nice as it is now
 the whole neighborhood / south St Mary’s is so nice now. It’s very easy to drive to from the freeway and so easy to access downtown. For my family, better value than staying in an expensive hotel on the riverwalk. Loved the house. The owner was a great communicator. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Perfect Pad

We were in town for BMT graduation at Lackland AFB. The property was close to the base, downtown and the airport. It was very clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to town for dinner at Rosarios (highly recommend). Ethan was a great host - responsive & flexible. You cannot go wrong staying here!

Upon entry it looks like it is advertised but we quickly noticed there was a lack of attention in the cleanliness. The barstools had crumbs, there was a fry on the floor and there was McDonald’s trash in the back yard. It was apparent the surfaces had not been wiped down, and the floors needed a good sweep and mop. One RR had no toilet paper and the others had very little. We had to supply our own. The house rule was no shoes upstairs, but the carpet is clearly in need of a cleaning. One bed had little bits of grass under the sheet and the other bed had a hair in it. I feel that the back yard furniture was not as advertised as two of the chairs were broken. I would recommend more furniture or perhaps a place to put a suitcase as all of our stuff had to sit on the floor. I can’t say I would recommend unless it was cleaned better.

Fantastic stay

Property was as described.. kids had fun with the combo ping pong pool table and the location was very accessible to things near downtown. We found the private parking in the back too!

Great house for BMT visitors

Our group of 6 came to San Antonio to celebrate the BMT graduation of our Airman. It's location was easy on/easy off the freeway and only about 15 minutes to base. The size was great for 6 and our Airman appreciated being able to relax and just "hang out with family and have delicious home made foods". The beds were comfortable, the back yard a bonus and the pool/ping pong table was a huge hit! We stayed an extra day and enjoyed the Riverwalk that was so close. There is a train that passes in the area, but the noise was never an issue or woke any of us at night. Ethan, the owner was very responsive to any questions and easy to work with. It was a great visit!

Short Stay

Short stay for concert. House was clean. Location great for walking to Alamo dome. Back yard was not mowed. Hot & 82 degrees in house upon arrival. No wash cloths in bathrooms for showers. Parallel parking in front of houses so 1st come, 1st serve!
