Welcome to The Trainstation! This idyllic, log cabin is the ultimate mountain retreat. Located just minutes away from charming downtown Saluda and close to all that an outdoor enthusiast could ask for, including hiking, rafting and even ziplining! Or spend the day in Asheville exploring Biltmore Estate, art galleries, and first-class restaurants.

Located on 1.5 acres with a waterfall on one side and a stream below, The TrainStation is a peaceful and private home for those wanting to rest and recharge. Take the stairs that lead directly to the creek and wade in the refreshing water or grab your fishing pole! After a day of exploring enjoy a glass of wine on the wrap-around deck overlooking the waterfall or in the hot tub and let your stress melt away.

Enjoy cooking with friends and family in the fully stocked kitchen. After dinner relax around the stone fireplace in the cozy living room with knotty pine, vaulted ceilings. The three large guest rooms give everyone plenty of privacy. The primary bedroom features a large walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. Whether you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax or get out and have adventures, The TrainStation is the best place to create lifelong memories!

Quiet Policy: Please note that the home/estate property is located in a very quiet community. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

Amazing, unique property!

This property has the most awesome location and features! Sits above a rushing creek with surrounding, screened in deck. Very private as well. Feels like you are deep in the forest, but it’s not far from the road. Things I didn’t like were check out at 10am, having to sign a 24-page rental agreement with the management company and additional management company fee, constant emails from the management company about all the rules. But I guess with a property this special, they have to protect it.

Great weekend get away

Beautiful home, which was perfect for my family of 4. Enjoyed the hot tub each night and the rushing water of the creek could put anyone to sleep. Owners were very responsive and were able to accommodate an early check in. Would stay here again.

Peaceful on the Pacolef

The house and property was exactly what we needed. It was beautiful, well cared for and an enjoyable place to stay. The River and waterfalls just added to the experience.

Great get away

Had some headaches in the booking process, the pictures showed a loft with twin beds and advertised as family friendly. When you went to book though it says no children allowed or you could lose deposit and rental. Took a few days to get a response. Turns out this was a mistype and customer support said the loft is great for kids. We tell the kids about the loft and book our stay. We arrive and the ladder to the loft is taken down so you can’t access. Three kids are now very unhappy and we don’t want them sleeping downstairs with a direct door to the outside. They all share one queen bed on the main floor with us. Management company was responsive to get answers, owner says they don’t want kids on loft for liability. Totally get that, would probably do the same if I was owner. But we were sold on the idea our kids could use. Management company told us to bad, description in the reservation states not available. Seems like you should tell the customer before the reservation about the fine print. Felt a bit fooled. Yonder could have easily solved with an apology and offered something like a credit for future stay, which we would have likely declined, the gesture would have made the difference. Despite all of this, Great property, well maintained, would consider booking it again. Would be nice if there was power at the river side living room, not a deal breaker.

Fabulous

An absolutely AMAZING property! We loved it and would hope to be able to book again. The location could not be nicer, the house is everything we would be looking for - hot tub worked beautifully and we enjoyed it and the lovely fireplace, fire pit area and all the nice porches. Half way between Saluda and Tryon and around the corner from Pearson's Falls. Sparkling clean, nicely stocked kitchen, comfortable in every way - one of my favorite bookings ever!
