Cliff Cottage is a delightful former fisherman’s cottage situated in a lovely quiet position close to the beach and harbour side in Staithes, near Whitby. It has an abundance of character and charm and provides a perfect base for exploring this beautiful coastline. The cottage has its own private parking which is very rare in Staithes and the enclosed sunny garden is ideal for relaxing. There is a shared access to the cottage next door. Cliff Cottage has been furnished and decorated for use by the family owners to a high standard and provides an excellent accommodation for couples and families.

Access to next door is through the garden. Although enclosed, the garden is not completely dog-proof with open access to woodland beyond the garden.The hill is very steep down into the village centre and the property is accessed down a couple of steps making it potentially challenging for those with mobility issues.Note although there are three bedrooms and beds for 5 adults (plus a child's bed in the top bedroom, downstairs is 'very cosy' if 5 adults are staying.There is an open fire and there may be solid fuel ready to use; if you are lucky enough to find some (check the shed), then we ask visitors to return the favour and leave some behind. Likewise, there are generally some buckets and spades 'donated' by other visitors for the enjoyment of children.There is a small freezer in the outhouse, but as the kitchen is small, we are sorry there is not much room if bringing frozen food. .Enjoy our home from home.
