The guest who books the reservation must be 25 years or older and must be present for the length of the stay in the property.

338 Captain John Fripp Villa is the absolute best location for families on the island. This end unit villa is ocean view, steps to the beach, steps to the pool(used only by residents of the Captain John Fripp Villa complex), patio extends on to a large grassy lawn and the unit is private.

The villa was recently renovated from top to bottom.  

There are a total of 3 full bathrooms. Each bedroom has it's own full bath, and there is a full bath with tub on the first floor.. This is extremely rare in Phase 1 villas.

Fripp Island boasts 2 championship golf courses ('100 Best Golf Resorts in North America'-by Links Magazine). Our Ocean Creek course was  renovated in 2013 with new paspalum turf, so thick and smooth it acts like tiny tees holding your ball at precisely the right height.  Come play the same turf the pros played at the PGA Championship.

We have 3 and 1/2 miles of unspoiled and uncrowded wide beach. 

8 clay tennis courts-lit for play when it's dark.

Walk out the patio doors for play on the lawn, stroll on the beach, or a swim in the pool.

Walk out the front door to the beach club which has coffee, ice cream, pizza, chicken, sandwiches, shopping, fitness center, business center, and other pools. 

Walk across the street for tennis, or hop on the golf cart for a 5 minute trip to either of the championship golf courses.

Club cards are available for additional purchase. They are needed for use of restaurants, golf, tennis, and pools other than our complex pool.

Four seat golf cart is included in rental cost. (renter must agree to golf cart agreement before using cart)

WiFi (Wireless Internet)

You will NOT find a more updated villa with 3 BATHROOMS, with our private, prime location in all of the phase one units. (units that are in the 300's) Thanks for your consideration.

Please NOTE that new security rules only allow 2 cars parked per day at this property!

If you LOVE Hilton Head, but don't like the Hilton Head crowds, Fripp Island is your kind of place!

Private pool is included in rental

 Guest cards are available for an additional charge giving renters full access to all Fripp Island facilities.   There are two 18 hole golf courses (green fees apply), Olympic-size pool, adult pool with beach bar, Cabana Club lagoon, and ten court tennis club (court fees apply), fitness center, bike rentals and several restaurants.  Through the marina you can rent a kayak, SUP, or book a dolphin watch cruise.  Cards cost $50 per person per week Memorial Day through Labor Day and $35 per person per week the rest of the year.  Children 13 and up must have their own card.  In order to go to the Island restaurants all members of the party must have a guest card unless under 13.
 PLEASE NOTE! the new resort owners have instituted a 12.8% fee for the use of the resort amenities (AKA BUYING AMENITY CARDS), They will be calculated on the amount of money you are paying for your rental.  The resort fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards for access to the resort amenities.
 
Renters who do not wish to purchase guest amenity cards can still enjoy the beach, the private pool for Villa renters only and all the beautiful natural areas of the island WITHOUT paying the new 12.8% fee.

WE HAVE 3 BATHROOMS! Each BEDROOM has a FULL BATHROOM upstairs and the downstairs bathroom includes a tub. Most of the other units in phase 1 only have a shared bathroom upstairs.

If this property offers club cards for access to Fripp Island Resort amenities, a new 12.8% of the total rent resort fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards. After booking this property, VRBO will charge their service fee separately and then the reservation will be transferred to FrippIslandStay where the property owner or manager will charge your credit card for the other items seen in the quote provided by VRBO. The refundable security deposit if applicable will be included in the final payment. You will also have the opportunity to purchase travel insurance and damage protection insurance on FrippIslandStay.

You will receive an email with log in information from FrippIslandStay right after booking. Please check your spam or promotions folders. Once logged in to FrippIslandStay, you will be able to order club cards if available and gate passes for access to the island.

Great Location for Beach and Snacks

Condo was very well appointed and very comfortable (Great mattress!). It's a corner unit so you have a good view of the dunes/ocean and easy access to the beach walkway. It's also right next to the "Greens" which is a green area w picnic tables/food trucks and a well appointed snack stand and pools BUT you have to have the Resort Amenity card to use it (and other restaurants on Fripp). Great location. Highly recommend golf cart to get around.

Perfect Location for all things Fripp

Loved the location of the property, the private patio as compared to the rest of the complex is very nice. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, washer and dryer a huge plus. Sheets, mattress pads and towels need to upgraded immediately, there were only two decent washcloths, the rest were literally rags. No biggie for us as we drove in and brought extras, which we left as a parting gift because we had such a great time in this very comfortable condo. Would definately stay again and the owner Joe was so very kind.

Best rental in the Captain John Fripp Villas!

Our family of six stayed here, and loved it! This is our third rental at the Captain John Fripp Villas, and by far our favorite. Everything has been beautifully updated, and the extra bathroom upstairs was a bonus! The proximity to the beach and the pool can’t be beat! Also, the golf cart was so fast - our kids loved zooming around the island with us. We loved hosting family dinners here and swinging on the porch swing 😊 Don’t look any further, book this one!

Best VRBO I have ever stayed in!

This place is SO cool! Wonderful "little" place...but not so little. Has 3 FULL bathrooms. One on the first floor, and two on the second. You can see the ocean from the master bedroom balcony. You have two balconies and a back patio, just feet from the boardwalk to the beach! All the rooms had TVs with cable and the place is not only big enough for a family of 4, it was big enough to host dinner for 12 people...with room to spare! Also, note it may not say it in the description, but there is also a washer and dryer in the place. The beds were very comfortable too. Was like living at home...and the modern bathroom showers in each of the 2nd floor bathrooms are really nice. The included golf cart is perfect. The power to charge is conveniently placed right in the reserved parking spot. I would recommend only using the reserved spot for the golf cart. You dont need your automobile at all during your stay. I recommend parking it in one of the spots listed "300/400" and leaving it for your stay. All you need is the golf cart when you are on the island. You will need your car only if you want to go off the island for a Walmart trip or dinner off the island. Also, Joe is the most responsive host I have every had. I dont think my calls ever went to voicemail. He is always there to help and a really nice guy. We will 100% rent this place when we return to Fripp. Right on the beach, a private pool, and literally right next to the island ice cream shop, an adult pool and the place where you get your amenities cards. Best place to chill at the beach! Highly recommend!! Thank you Joe!

Wonderful Experience - one consideration

We loved everything about this villa - very clean and comfortable. Mr. Tonini was excellent in responding to my questions. The patio, swing, yard, and pool were excellent to have right there for the kids - and best of all the best stretch of Fripp beach was basically right off our backyard! We would return here again and again - just one warning that I didn’t see mentioned in other reviews - it is directly beside the Ocean Club (which is nice for getting ice cream), but on weekend nights the music was very loud - mostly in the kids room - the master wasn’t too bad. This didn’t hurt our time - thankfully the owner had thoughtfully left a nice sound machine in that room, and the kids slept through it. We had three or four nights with very loud music/partying, but they usually wrapped it up around 10. The only night it interfered with my husbands sleep was our last night (Friday night) they went until midnight. So just throwing that out there for families that may have sleeping issues or issues with loud sounds. Everything else about the villa itself and the location was terrific! Also the neighbors feed the deer so they are veeerrry friendly - which my kids loved even though we tried to abide by the no feeding rules. We had a terrific time. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Great Experience

This was our first trip to Fripp Island, and we will definitely be back! The condo is in a great location, beautiful courtyard and easy access to the beach. The owner was very responsive to messages and answered all of my questions--overall a great experience!

Perfect family getaway

This location was absolutely perfect for our family. We could walk out the back door and straight to the beach. The view from the master bedroom is amazing! Joe was responsive when needed and resolved a minor hiccup quickly. We will be back!

Property was not quite as nice as we expected. Upstairs could use new floors and definitely new towels everywhere, including kitchen. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired— lots of dirt under furniture. Supposed to start laundry but we had to buy soap to do it. Had workmen on property every single day, sometimes very noisy and disturbing, sawing and hammering, but they were very nice and polite. Love Fripp Island and Joe , property owner Joe was very nice, but disappointed in condo experience overall.

Perfect spot on Fripp

We love staying in these villas. This unit in particular makes it even better. Quick access to the beach, the pool, beach club, etc. Unit is in great shape and we love the 2 bathrooms upstairs in addition to the downstairs one. Contactless check in is a huge plus especially during these times. Would happily rent here again!

Great location

The location was prefect. It was close to the beach and pool, but still provided privacy. Very convenient with young children. The unit was clean, up to date, and everything was in working order. The owner was super nice and quick to answer any questions.

Yearly Fripp Trip

We choose Fripp Island as our yearly beach trip destination. CJF Villas never disappoint and have the best beach access. Upon arrival we had difficulty with push button door lock. Notified property manager and owner called back within 5 mins and issued was quickly resolved. This was not a major issue and mentioned only b/c the situation was immediately handled. Hurricane Isaias was an island concern during our stay. Tonini (owner) updated us with current info prior to arrival and continued to check in frequently via email and text. Property is well maintained and has all needed essential items.

Great Stay!

Our family had a great vacation at Fripp this year! We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. It's very nicely decorated and updated, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find the unit has 3 full bathrooms! I must have overlooked that in the description. We experienced a couple of unseasonably cool days, and we were happy to find multiple games in the unit, which helped keep the kids entertained. The close proximity to the beach made it a breeze to get back and forth to the condo with our kids, and the small CJF pool was not far from our back patio. We took advantage of cooking out on the charcoal grill several times while the kids swam in the pool, and we grabbed ice cream often at the nearby food court. We loved cruising the island on the golf cart and visiting the other pools, crabbing, and just general site seeing. We enjoyed working with Joe, the owner, as well. He was very helpful in answering our questions, especially when we had concerns about COVID restrictions and our company's travel policy. During our visit, Joe was very quick to respond if we had any questions. I highly recommend booking this unit for a wonderful Fripp vacation!

Comfortable and affordable villa with everything you need

We enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was centrally located on the island with easy access to the beach. The beds and living room were very comfortable, it was quiet and having access to the golf cart was really nice. The island is a great place if you want quiet and a beautiful beach.
