Approximately 4hrs prior to check in I realized I was not provided check in information by the owner, most importantly lock box code #. After having my 16yr old double check dadâs computer illiteracy, it was confirmed that the information had not been received. I sent an email to the owner from the confirmation email from VRBO. After waiting approximately 1 hour, I left a voice message with the owner. Approx 1 hour later I left a second voice mail with the owner and approx an hour after that I called VRBO. After I established who I was with VRBO, they were able to get the owner on the call. I described my situation to the owner, who said he has someone else handle this for him. By this time, it was approximately 50min after check in. If the owner would have said âsorry about thatâ or shown any form of remorse, I would not be writing this review now. I received a text with the code from the owner 53 min after the 4pm check in, again no apology was in the content of the text. Attempting to gain access for our prepaid rental while trying to coordinate the transport of our 75yr old Nana from out of town was not fun. This didnât ruin our 75yr birthday celebration weekend but it definitely didn't help the mood. The property was as described and very clean. My wife and I have used VRBO rentals for close to 30yrs, we both work full time and still have kids at home. I would venture to say communication can be more important than a view. I would not stay here again.
