Welcome to The Lightfoot Cabin as featured on Conde Nast Traveler, Dwell and Sunset Magazine.
We do kindly request no shoes inside. There is a small shoe bench right outside the door and indoor slippers inside waiting for you.
This keeps it cozy and clean for everyone to enjoy.
This is a tri-level split home.
Once you enter through the front door, you will go down some steps to get to the main open living space.
You have a full kitchen with all of the essentials.
There is a French press with ground coffee and tea packets for your morning pick me ups. The kettle is electric.
Please note that the fridge has a small freezer section and there is no dishwasher. The water gets hot really fast, so please be careful.

There is an inviting living room with daybed for your afternoon naps or sit in the swing chair for you to enjoy the view outside, the fireplace, or enjoy some music on the record player.
The unique, free-standing fireplace is gas for your safety and ease of use.
There are plenty of board games available for your enjoyment.
The sliding door opens up to a nice deck to sip your coffee or grill up your your next meal while you enjoy the view of pine and cedar trees. There are heat lamps when it gets chilly.

The dining table really takes you back to your cool grandma’s house with its white pedestal table and cantilever velvet and cane chairs. Here you can comfortably enjoy a nice meal.

Going up the stairs from the main entrance, you will be greeted with a king sized bed. There is also a leather lounge chair for you to enjoy a good book or a writing table with a typewriter for you to get inspired to write a book. There is also another small deck off the loft room.

No need to worry about power outages here! We have a whole home generator that will kick on as soon as it detects the power is off. No need to go outside or disrupt your stay, just continue to enjoy :)

Guests have access to the whole home.
There is a narrow driveway that can fit up to two cars. Please only park in the driveway and do not block our neighbors. There is a sloped hill on the left side of the driveway so take caution when arriving at night.

EV Charging
There is a 110V Outlet for standard charging. This is located on the tree trunk.
There is also a NEMA 14-50 outlet for faster charging on the deck rail. Try to charge your car after 9PM to avoid peak times of 4PM to 9PM.

Running Springs is a very quaint little town. It is rather quiet and calm, so this is great place to getaway from your normal hustle and bustle. If you are wanting a little more activities, we are close to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.

Getting around is best by car due to plenty of hills. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles on the driveway. Please note that there is a sloped hill on the left side when you get out so use caution when arriving at night.

1. There is one camera outside pointed towards the driveway for your safety
2. FIreplace is only available during Fall-Spring seasons
3. There is no dishwasher
4. Please try to charge your electric vehicle after 9pm and do not use the car charger, AC/heater, and washer all at the same time
5. Please use caution when using the stairs outside when it is wet
6. This is a quiet neighborhood, so please keep that in mind when playing music or hanging outside
7. During the winter, a four-wheeled drive car or chains may be necessary to get up to the home.
8. Always sit on a towel in the Sauna
9. Dont leave the ladle in the bucket to prevent cracking.
No shoes inside the house. No unauthorized guests outside of the reservation allowed.

Please do not access the lower level deck from the outside. Enter the hot tub from inside the house.

This property requires a $250 security deposit hold. It will be collected separately by the property 2 days prior to check in.
Guests are required to sign Rental Agreement.

ANY dogs brought without permission or that breaks any of these rules will result in a fee and dog/guests may be asked to leave the premises without refund and forfeiture of security deposit.

Snow & Chain Control Policy
During winter months, guests acknowledge that snow and icy conditions are possible. Guests are solely responsible for monitoring weather conditions, road closures, and chain control requirements set by Caltrans or local authorities.

Failure to bring or install required snow chains does not constitute a reason for cancellation, refund, or early departure.

REFUNDS
There may be credit card and application fees that we cannot refund. Please review our cancellation policies and we highly recommend trip insurance.
