The Space:

On the gentle rise at Wild Yards in the region of Roseberg, The Deer Tiny House by Tiny Away sits about 50 minutes away from the town of Cowra.



Gum trees frame the view, and a dam rests below the hill, drawing in birds and the occasional deer at dusk. The area remains peaceful and encourages slower mornings, bush walks, and time to simply sit and take in the view.



You’re also within driving distance of the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre, Mount Panorama, the Lachlan Valley Railway Society, and major events like the Bathurst 1000, the Cowra Balloon Festival, and the Parkes Elvis Festival. It’s a quaint pocket of countryside that still keeps some of the region’s best-known attractions within reach.



The 139-square-foot tiny home includes water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking gear, and a private bathroom with a gas-heated shower, hand basin, and eco-friendly cassette toilet.



IMPORTANT NOTE: This tiny home is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. We advise guests to conserve energy during the day and only use it when necessary. Overall, minimal consumption is advised to prevent power outages when using solar power.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the tiny house and the surrounding outdoor space. The only areas off-limits are the host’s house yard and any other private sections of the property.

The area around Wild Yards Tiny House by Tiny Away in the region of Roseberg feels unhurried by farmland and stretches of long country roads. About 50 minutes away, Cowra brings a mix of history, agriculture, vineyards, and cultural landmarks along the Lachlan Valley, including the well-known Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre.



Drive further toward Bathurst, where old gold-rush streets meet the roar of engines at Mount Panorama during the Bathurst 1000. The Bathurst 1000 draws motorsport fans each year, while museums, galleries, and heritage buildings showcase the area’s layered history.

- The nearest major airport is Sydney Airport, about a 3.5 to 4-hour drive

- Bathurst Airport is closer, about 1 hour away, with limited regional flights
