Casa del Sol is managed by Island House Vacation Rentals. Guests will be provided with our local phone numbers and will be available via phone, text, as well as messaging. Our office, located on the main road in West Bay, just a few minutes from the house is open Monday - Friday 8-4 and Saturdays 8-12. We greet all of our guests at the office so they know how to find us. Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and agree to our rental terms and conditions. Secure online payments for direct bookings are processed through a 3rd party payment processor, ChargeAutomation.
Lighthouse Estates is located on the South Shore of West Bay. It is a perfect location for those seeking the activities and vibrant mix of the restaurants and bars available at West Bay Beach, just a 15 - 20 minute walk away. The Lighthouse Estates area is quiet and secluded because it is at the very tip of Roatan and there is not a lot of public traffic.
Guests have access to the private pool and the various loungers and toys on the deck. A short walk away is a semi-private beach guests may use also.
THE Vacation Home
From the moment you walk int to Casa del Sol, you know you are in a true island vacation home. An expansive living room greets your entrance to the home and provides an amazing view of the infinity pool and the Caribbean Sea through large glass windows and doors.Â
The bright and spacious living room offers two sitting areas. One has a sofa and two armchairs facing a 60â TV with DirecTV service. The other sitting area has two loveseats and two chaise lounges under a vaulted ceiling that overlook the pool, deck and sea. Adjoining these areas is a large wet bar complete with built-in icemaker.
The living area flows into the dining room where guests will enjoy a 9â exotic wood dining table with seating for up to 10. The large gourmet kitchen is next to that with new GE stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and a gas range and wall oven. Too many cooks certainly wonât be a problem in this kitchen!
Bedrooms, Bedrooms
The master bedroom on the main level features a king bed and 44â TV with DirecTV service. The ensuite bathroom will not disappoint with a jet tub, large tiled shower, double vanity and makeup mirror. Guests will wake to views of the Caribbean each morning, an amazing way to start your day.
Upstairs a balcony overlooks the living room and offers further views of the Caribbean. The two master suites upstairs both feature king beds, walk-out access to the seaside deck, large ensuite bathrooms with tub/shower combos and double vanities. The third bedroom is great for those family get-togethers as it has three custom-made bunk beds with a total of 6 queen mattresses. The space in this room is huge and allows a great retreat for little (and not so little!) ones. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
The 5th bedroom is in a separate one-bedroom unit downstairs. It has a spacious king bedroom, a comfortable living area, a full kitchen as well as a full bath. This additional space is accessed by the pool deck staircase and is not connected from within the home.
It gets betterâŠ
The rear pool deck runs the length of the entire house and offers plenty of seating. The real treat, though, is the infinity edge pool that is bound to be the focal point of your stay in Casa del Sol. The custom pool is 30â x 12â and has an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea and Honduran mainland. A short stroll across the yard below brings you to a small, private deck only meters away from the mesmerizing sound of the crystal blue waves below the ironshore.
âŠand BETTER!
The prevalent trade winds will keep you cool nearly all year around, but the home is fully air conditioned should you choose it. The water in the home is purified throughout so drinking water is available at every tap. A generator is in place for those pesky power outages, and a wireless internet connection is also available in every room. This home literally has everything you would want or need in your island vacation home. Come stay at Casa del Sol and make the memories of a lifetime.
PLEASE NOTE: Electricity can be managed to minimize additional cost. There may be an extra charge for electricity usage in this home. Guests are required to give a $1000 utility deposit and will receive an allowance of 250 kW per day. At the end of the stay, we will read the meter and determine if there is any extra charge for electricity usage. If applicable, that amount will be deducted from the utility deposit with the balance returned to the guests within 10 business days. Please contact us with any questions.
We are happy to arrange your airport transfer to West Bay if you wish. While it is possible to walk from Lighthouse Estates to West Bay Beach, many of our guests rent a vehicle for their time here. We can help guests arrange this as well. There is also a local taxi service for about $2 per person to the beach area.
