I cannot even believe this property is open and has people staying in it. The hotel is absolutely nothing like the pictures. Not the lobby, not the rooms, not the pool. People were outside painting the place so i figure they are trying to make improvements. When you first walk in there is a strong smell of smoke. I dismiss it and check in. We are put in a room in the second floor. There are no elevators which is fine until we come to the stairwell from hell. I have seen parking garage stairwells with homeless people living in them that are cleaner than this. Plus it is extremely narrow. Carrying your luggage to the top only to have the door open up towards you. So you have to step down some stairs to open the door and then try and walk back up get through the door while carrying your luggage. The hallway looks like something staight out of a horror movie. Dirty, dingy, and dark. We put the keycard in to open the door. The green light shows yet the door wont open. We try a few more times and nothing. We can hear people nside whispering. Leaving my family in the hallway i go back down to the desk and let them know the situation. The staff apologizes and asks the manager what to do, which she responds that she hasnt had any complaints about doors not working and there shouldnt be anyone in that room. I replied yeah i dont know but we need a room. The staff member asks the manager, should i get them a new room and she replies yeah go ahead. Room was awful, got refunded and left.
