Youâll feel rejuvenated after an escape to the Yorkshire countryside, staying on this quiet smallholding with resident farmyard animals and exceptional scenery all around it. Located in the Nidderdale National Landscape, only 6 miles from the Yorkshire Dales, youâll be spoilt for choice with incredible walking, hiking and biking routes nearby, allowing you to get out and soak up the invigorating atmosphere of The Dales. The property itself is a peaceful abode sleeping four guests. Itâs a versatile, pet-friendly option with one twin bedroom offering a zip-and-link bed, allowing you to stay here as a family or as two couples.
This stone cottage has been decorated with rural charm in mind, featuring country-inspired accents between calming, neutral-coloured walls and features such as an exposed stone wall. Spend time in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with cooking facilities on one side and a cosy lounge spot on the other. The living area invites you to put your feet up and switch the TV on, scrolling through to find a film thatâs right for you. French doors lead from here out onto the patio, altogether bringing an inside/outside ambience to the property for al fresco afternoons when the sun shines. Back indoors, move on up to the first floor to find two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with king-size zip-and-link bed, accompanied by a family bathroom.
On your doorstep, the village of Thornton Watlass is set deep within the North Yorkshire countryside, home to a country pub where you can end any walking route with a swift pint. Local attractions include Thorp Perrow (2 miles), with 100 acres of beautiful gardens, vibrant woodlands and fantastic resident birds of prey, and the Nosterfield Nature Reserve (5.5 miles), which offers so much more vibrant Yorkshire wildlife. Also close by, visit the small market town of Masham (4 miles) on the edge of the Dales.
