Emerald Villa is a luxury newly built villa, offers private pool with jacuzzi, located in the traditional Mediterranean village of Skouloufia offering beautiful nature, side sea views and mountain views!
It is set only a few minutes drives away from the Beach of Skaleta and the town of Rethymno (18 km). The beach of Skaleta starts 11km east of Rethymno and stretches 3km to the east.
Indoor facilities

The villa is designed to accommodate 6 guests in the existing beds offering high-quality mattresses. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the necessary electrical appliances, a contemporary with minimal living area with a energy fireplace, a big flat Smart TV 65 with satellite channels, and a dining area suitable for 6 guests. On the same floor, there is a shared WC.

The three bedrooms of the villa located on the ground floor. The first bedroom comes with 2 single beds that can be turned in a large double if requested. Next to the bedroom is a shared WC.
The second bedroom comes with a double-sized bed and a bathroom with a shower while the last bedroom (master) has a double-sized bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and indoor jacuzzi.
Each bedroom offers smart TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi access, bath amenities, linens and towels for all the guests, a hairdryer, and high-quality mattresses.
Outdoor facilities

Entering the outdoor area, on your right hand side there is a wood-burning oven and a fully equipped bbq.
There is also an outdoor pool with jacuzzi (7.5 long 3.5 wide, 1.50 deep)
Moreover the outdoor shower overlooks the olive green pine trees and the sea. Sunbeds, showers, and a table with chairs complete the outdoor area. The selected choice of earthy colors creates a warm place that lets your kids swim safely, there is also a separate jacuzzi next to the main pool. On the lower level, there is a secure parking space, suitable for 2-3 cars

Neighbourhood description
Skouloufia is a village of the prefecture of Rethymno, located near Pikris and Roupes, approximately 18 km southeast of the city of Rethymno.
Built at an altitude of 220 meters, Skouloufia is located on an important crossroad, since there are quite a few attractions located nearby, including Stavromenos Beach the Eleutherna Archaeological Museum and the archaeological site of Stavromenos. In about just 8 km, the historic monastery of Arkadi is situated and many inhabitants of Skouloufia were involved in the holocaust. Few kilometers further, there is the Melidoni cave and the Ancient Eleftherna.
During the Venetian period, the village was referred to as Spilufia and was a birthplace of Eleni Volanopoula, mother of the Governor of Crete Veli Pasha, whose mosque is located in the city of Rethymno. Many brave men, Leonidas Mpogiatzoglou one of them, were hailing from the village of Skouloufia, an important revolutionary center of Crete.
Many Byzantine and Venetian sites can be seen in the quaint village of Skouloufia, mostly churches, such as the church of Agios Ioannis, erected in the middle of the village, hosting a sarcophagus dating to 1531 and the splendid view from a peculiar window of the church.
The Church of Panagia, located near school, retains almost intact the wonderful reliefs on its doors and windows. There is also the church of Agia Paraskevi and an Ottoman fountain with an Arabic inscription.
Skouloufia is suggested for relaxation throughout the year and as a base for trips to many historical and natural attractions of the region.
