St Mildred’s Villa is a great base for exploring the beautiful Kent coastline. Ramsgate is a traditional English seaside resort with something for everyone. A short stroll away you will find The Royal Harbour, aligned with fabulous cafés offering al-fresco dining and catering for all tastes, with a real continental vibe, perfect for a leisurely bite to eat before hitting Ramsgate Main Sands Beach with your bucket and spades. A day at the beach wouldn’t be complete without some fun at the amusements and arcades. There is also a dog friendly sandy beach approximately half a mile away.

The town itself has an array of wonderful shops, pubs, restaurants, and a cinema. Should you fancy a flutter in the evening, a casino can be found in less than a 10-minute drive. If more beach fun is on your agenda, a visit to nearby Broadstairs is an absolute must, with its award-winning beaches. In addition, not too far away you will find a championship golf course of Royal St Georges, cliff top walks aplenty and horse riding. Ramsgate benefits from the high-speed rail with direct services to St Pancras in 70 minutes. The Eurotunnel at Cheriton and the Eurostar at Ashford provide easy links if travelling from the continent.

With one of the warmest climates in the UK, there’s a distinct continental feel in the town. Visitors can soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere in one of the many waterfront bars, cafés and restaurants, and enjoy the beautiful architecture and the famous Harbour Arches with stunning views across the marina.

Other places to visit whilst staying here include Margate for its stunning beach and harbour, with a mixture of shops, cafés, ale bars and pubs. Canterbury is also worth a visit for its beauty and historic elements, as well as the shopping precincts within the city walls.
